We have State Farm-had Geico for 12 years and they dropped us. Never had a claim but we switched auto to State Farm and then home. Filed a claim almost 5 weeks after starting with State Farm as we had a water leak Thanksgiving weekend. They paid for all damages and paid for our hotel for 3 months. We're currently paid until August so we will see if they renew.

We have been Nationwide customers for nearly 50 yr & over that time have had various claims from auto damage to housebreaking & stolen items, burst pipe & water damage, to roof replacements. All were honest claims & not excessive. We have 100% satisfaction with our insurer. Our local agency is Nesbit Nationwide (Concord) & Dana Simpson Campbell services our account. I am FB friend with some people who sell insurance & say I am probably paying too much; but in my book, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I have heard way too many stories like this post above. I doubt whatever excess we pay is very much & the peace of mind knowing I am getting the coverage I pay for is worth it to me....A friend needed a roof replaced & had been with State Farm for 25 yr & they replaced the roof & then wouldn't renew their policy... I'm thankful Nationwide has fulfilled their end of our agreement more than once. ...I have children who started out with Nationwide & shopped around & changed providers only to find the coverage was not equal nor was the service. Make sure like any other product or service, don't just shop for the cheapest. You may regret it & it may cost more in the long run.
