If you're willing to drive a little bit, K-Nails on Oak Ave in Kannapolis. Kenny is THE best. He used to be in Harrisburg but he's got his own place now. I don't like any of the salons in town anymore & I've tried them all I think.

I really like Orchid Spa. It's in the same Plaza as Hawthorne's.

I have tried several places around town. I seem to prefer Unique Nails in Town Center because they do a nice job & their prices are reasonable...they also have a choice of services at different prices. They have loyalty program where you get a card punch for each visit & after so many earn free services.... A pedicure is somewhat of a luxury but also a necessity for me as I age & gets more difficult to reach my feet (losing flexibility) but still I can't afford to spend a huge amount on a pedi so their price is one of the main reasons I go there ....My last visit they had implemented even more hygienic practices by using a disposable plastic liner in the foot baths.

In 1978 when we moved to Harrisburg I did cry out for a Grocery Store, Drug store and Nail salon, grocery store, auto parts & supplies' city_state='Concord, NC' class='name_reco'>Dry cleaners. We did have The Norris Food Mart. Was ok that I had to go to Brendles down 49 for a nice gift. Needless to say was excited when they built Food Lion, Revco Drugs and a Nail salon, grocery store, auto parts & supplies' city_state='Concord, NC' class='name_reco'>Dry Cleaners all in one Place. But now This is Ridiculous. 3 Nail salon, grocery store, auto parts & supplies' city_state='Concord, NC' class='name_reco'>Drug Stores, 7 Banks, 6 Grocery Stores, 3 DryCleaners, 30 Nail salon, grocery store, auto parts & supplies' city_state='Concord, NC' class='name_reco'>Hair Salons, 4 Auto Parts, Lord Knows How many Nail Salon-- and A Partridge in A Pear Tree. AND WE STILL HAVE TO GO INTO CHARlotte or coNcoRD For A BIRTH dAY GIFT>

What's your definition of hygienic? There are state laws for sanitation...If you mean a place that DOES NOT use the whirlpool chairs I'm not sure...I get mine done at Unique Nails in Harrisburg Town Center. They are always changing the sanitation practices to improve them...The most recent thing that Unique has done is the put a disposable liner in the chair foot bath with each new customer...The Nail Room is owned by Kimberly Rider Balogh who owned Utopia, used to use dish pan type tubs w/ no circulating water for that reason..Since she's reopened as Nail Room in a new location I'm not sure of what she uses now...I tagged her in this comment so maybe she can elaborate on her techniques & practices.
