Mrs. Patel at Delight Cleaners altered my mother-of-the groom gown & did an excellent job. The side seams had to be taken in & the bodice (princess) seams as well as hemmed. It was very fine & delicate fabric with a crepe chiffon overlay so 2 layers had to be altered. She did an outstanding job. I have no idea what she might charge now, it was 5 yr ago. She wasn't cheap but reasonable. She has a dressing area where you can change clothes in the shop.

At the recommendation of others, I am trying "Mrs. J" at Delight and the cleaners by HT Caldwell. I met her at the Caldwell location the other day. She is fixing the lining of a coat for me that I am also having drycleaned. I know many recommend them too, but I cannot speak personally about her work yet.

Mrs. Patel at Delight Cleaners does great alteration. Not sure what you mean by wanting somebody who can measure. She measures what's necessary. Are you wanting someone to tailor a complete outfit for you or make something from scratch or do you want alterations? I've had her alter some of my business wear with shortening sleeves and moving buttons on sleeves, remaking notched cuffs, and hemming pants, replacing zippers, as well as altering and taking in on the sides & back and hemming a very fine quality "mother-of" dress for a wedding.

I use Delight Cleaners (next to Mexicasa). Mrs. Patel has hemmed pants, shortened sleeves on my suit jackets, and did extensive 'fitting' of a formal gown I wore. ... I hear good things about Tracy's on Hwy 49 (between Ishi & Pier 49....next to the Lowe's Food plaza).

Have you tried Delight Cleaners next to Mexicasa Rest. in School House Commons? (Lowe's Foods center). I've gotten several items altered there. I really did not shop price so not sure how her rates compare but I was satisfied with workmanship & price.

I had a pair of slacks altered (cuffs only) by the tailor who has a shop inside Burlington Mills at Concord Mills last September. He only charged $12, and did an excellent job.
