Looking for reputable Solar installation company. We were part of the large power outage that hit the Conifer area yesterday and have only just now got our power back. ...

My friend is very happy with his Solar City set up. We are considering it.

Installing solar by itself will not help against blackouts unless you also install a battery backup system. The standard inverter is designed to shut off during a power outage so it's not trying to electrify the grid. I'm sure an installer can configure a system to cut over during a power outage but it is going to be significantly more expensive. I would recommend my solar installer but they went belly up a few years ago

EcoMark Solar. I know a lot of people in Denver who got solar through them. They're a Denver based company and everyone I know has had a great experience with them. Source: Used to work in the solar industry and know many people who got solar with EcoMark.

You can get some info [here](http://cleanenergyauthority.com/)--CEA is a local company (Evergreen) and actually a bunch of the employees are your neighbors in the Conifer/Bailey area. They work with a bunch of different solar installers around the company and I'm sure they have some folks who are local.

[SunRun](http://www.sunrun.com/) I had a great experience with even though I decided against having Solar Panels for the time being.

Depending on your income you could look into Grid. My girlfriend works for them and they are a non-profit that installs solar on lower income housing.

I love the work Solar City does. One of my buddies was a regional sales manager and recently got a promotion to work at its HQ in Northern California. Great company, but definitely not locally based.
