We just built with Colossal homes. Communication is pretty crappy. Get things done that you told them not to do then they refuse to do it as told. Get choices like frosted glass in front door, glass splashbacks instead of tiles then when you choose you dont get as its not as show home. Trying to get them back to put stuff right is proving a nightmare.

We are currently building with Simonds. The Sales Consultant at Ormeau was brilliant. Catered to all our needs. Our build has been very fast - faster than expected. Partner is a tradie and thinks the quality is much nicer than a lot of other builders. Only downside we have found throughout build was our site supervisor didn't really give us too many updates and we didn't hear from him much. But when we went past and saw so much work been completed. We were happy. As soon as we messaged our supervisor, he was very responsive. Happy to answer any other questions if you like

DO NOT build with Plantation Homes! Ever! Ever! Ever! They are money hungry, assholes who will rip you off. It might seem all hunky dorey with the consultant but then it's a horrible mess of nasty head office people, no customer service and overall, the most horrific company I have ever used! We are back with Metricon. Total opposite. We built with them 4 years ago and they are amazing. Highly recommend!

We built our house 12 years ago with Coral Homes. We made a few significant changes to the original plan, but were extremely happy with the build. No delays except the weather and the few problems that showed up after we moved in were all rectified without dramas.

We are currently building with a local builder JKW Constructions his name is Andrew. I would Recommend him in a heartbeat. The whole process so far has been smooth and simple. Nothing is a problem for him or too much trouble. The best thing about it is once you have your plans done and build price there are no hidden nasty extras to pay during the build. Plantation homes 100%. Have just built our second home and there standard inclusions are above a lot of other builders. When through adenbrook 1 st time and would recommend you stay clear of them. A friend just built through Perry homes and they a good but very basic. Had meetings with visual diversity, Metricon but went with plantation as they offer a lot more and service was fantastic
