Jimmy my fiance ( https://www.facebook.com/dan.ferratella ) Uncle. I am soo proud to say. Jimmy Gilbert "RARE" gem. Like a lot of you folks posted. Jimmy has a heart of gold. Jimmy always thinks of others. Never himself. When you see him. Out & about. Hand him a Christmas car d. Tell Jimmy this is for you. Open up when you get home. You can put gift certificate in it. Write a sweet comment in there. Jimmy makes each of our day. Why not show him. How loved he really is. Make his day. I know township. Bought him a new bike. Jimmy was sooo grateful. I really enjoyed reading all positive post. The night that people were rude & ignorant regarding Jimmy. That night I cried. Jimmy never ever deserves to be treated like that. Jimmy would never hurt a fly. Jimmy loves everyone. Merry Christmas & all have a good night !! Love you Uncle Jimmy

Merry Christmas to you and yours, https://www.facebook.com/kathy.clarkson.9 . Like I said earlier, I don't remember a time when Jimmy wasn't a part of Corning. Seems he's been around for ever and he never seems to age any, lol. He's an awesome guy and I'll stop to talk with him anytime! <3
Angela T. replied:
I thought that was sooo rude https://www.facebook.com/rockne.locey . Yes he could have stopped him. Ask him. Jimmy would say no. What harm did Pete do by posting on the internet ???
Nancy M. replied:
https://www.facebook.com/kathy.clarkson.9 , your brother brightened my day one morning at Wegmans when I was waiting in the pharmacy. He talked to me, smiled so kindly, and patted my hand. It made me feel better. Then he waved bye and was on his way to brighten somebody else's day.

I've been away from Corning for many years. However, I grew up knowing Jimmy and his family. His sister, https://www.facebook.com/carol.g.brown.9 , is a good friend. Jimmy is, as others have said, a sweet, kind person. He used to stop by my family home and chat. He was always interested in how we were doing. Thank you to Pete who started this conversation. We need more people in this world like Pete who care and are concerned about others. Merry Christmas all!
Susie A. replied:
Thank you, Pete, for thinking of Jimmy during the holiday season. Jimmy Gilbert is a very special person and has a wonderful family who love and care about him. He also has an "extended family" that includes many many Corning residents. I miss my conversations with him. I'm tagging two of his sisters so they can enjoy everyone's comments. https://www.facebook.com/carol.g.brown.9https://www.facebook.com/kathy.clarkson.9

Jimmy is a wonderful man/person who loves & cares about every one, with no questions asked!! <3 He's always riding his bike everywhere around town, has his scanner and keeps a close ear out for fires, police calls and any kind of emergency. If there ha s been an emergency and sees you shortly after, he'll tell ya about what happened and if anybody needs any prayers!! I've known Jimmy for about 35 years and he's very special to me, and yes, he does love his hugs & kisses from the ladies....and we're all happy to receive them from him!! If you're having a bad day and run into Jimmy, you'll leave the conversation with him with a smile on your face!!:) Jimmy also goes to just about every sporting event that happens in Corning, whether it be at the War Memorial Stadium or the Little League/Cinderella fields!! Merry Christmas to Jimmy and the entire Gilbert family!!!! <3 <3

Jimmy Gilbert. A legend. He has quite a few sisters, loves to hang with police, fire, ambulance. One of them gave him a pager type thing. He loves it. Another bought him a new bike or 2. Keep on biking Jimmy. We love seeing you .
