Recommendations for nice campgrounds in the Sedona Arizona area? Rancho Sedona RV Park is completely booked.
Beth P. replied:
Bummer...Rancho Sedona is the only place we've stayed.:( I'll ask some AZ peeps.
Marya B. replied:
We've stayed several times at the Thousand Trails. Not sure if they're open to non-members. Nice place. And Alcantara Winery is right next door!
Kira R. replied:
Okay. Boondocking is out. I suggest Campendium.com. Good luck!!!!!!
Sandy B. replied:
We stayed here as a base for Sedona, Jerome, Prescott, etc. It nice and had good trail to walk. http://www.rvparkreviews.com/regions/arizona/camp-verde/zane-grey-rv-park-55-park
Paula L. replied:
Try HipCamp.com
Heidi S. replied:
We like Cave Springs in Oak Creek Canyon...but they book out six months in advance! There are a few older nice campgrounds near Lake Mary ... Pine Grove, Canyon Vista and Dairy Springs are nice but no hookups!
Beth P. replied:
I usually use rvparkreviews.com and then see what the next closest cities are to where I am, if those (like in Sedona) are booked. Good luck.
Recommendation - Hocking Hills OH Anyone have any campground recommendations for Hocking Hills OH? Looking for full hookup options- electric, water and sewer. Thanks!

Boondocking around Moab, Utah My wife and I have a road trip planned for this summer in the camper. We decided to change our itinerary (I know, it's a little late in...
Loraura replied:
Moab in the summer is HOT. Desert hot with no shade hot. People die out there hot. Just FYI so you can plan enough water and ways to cool down.
mountainsky replied:
There is dispersed camping outside Moab but nothing uncrowded or reliable for finding a trailer spot. Campendium has a good list of trailer friendly locations, just be prepared to leave or spend the night in a rest area along I-70 if nothing is open. Unfortunately it’s mostly chance if you find something these days.

We live in the southwest and are constanting finding great new sites to try. Reviews are generally pretty accurate. The above link is specific to Moab area. Enjoy!

North out of town on US 191 has lots of dispersed BLM options. Plenty of land I think you’ll find something. Also quite a few BLM campgrounds on UT 313/Island in the Sky Rd which should have space available on a first come first serve.
Delver-Rootnose replied:
Just outside of moab, going toward the interstate, there are a few roads that lead to BLM land. I spent a few weeks camping there in winter. It was lovely. I'd spend the day wandering in Arches and about the river and night time, back to BLM land. Free campsites.net will have those as well as campendium.

We rolled into Moab on Saturday this week just at the tail end of Easter jeep safari. Found a spot and a ton of others just north of town on 191. This week everything reservable is booked up but there are still at least hundreds of trailer accessible spots available. Hard to believe summer would be busier. Shoot me a message if you want coordinates to a few places to check out.
-Silverback replied:
Thanks everyone fir the advice. We will definitely check out Campendium and spots north of town.
RT_Steele replied:
You are parked on a concrete slab. Might be dry camping but not my idea of "boondocking". :)
outdoorseveryday replied:
Northeast of town is a huge area for boondocking. Dozens of spots. There are actually 2 or 3 areas that are close to each other. Check out Campendium.com.
