Oh yeah Dr. David is great too. Also Corvallis Family Medicine. And Angie is an LPN. ....but really is fabulous. Im surprised to hear so many good things about Dr. Garrett. I found him to be absolutely horrible. No bedside manner at all. Same with Pam Trimmer. I'm glad he is not horrible to everyone at least!
Spencer I. replied:
My doctor is Dr Quiner at Corvallis Family Medicine he is good.
Sharla G. replied:
I suggest making sure you see an MD and not a NP. They can be good but with your history I would suggest an internal medicine doc. Try Dr. Jessup at Samaritan internal med.
Jamie F. replied:
Dr Garrett with Samaritan. He'll even take your insurance the boys and I love him and he knows all my dirty
Misty E. replied:

I really like Michael Potter in Albany. He listens and is proactive in his patient care. I have Neurological and Pain issues and he is very attentive.
So it would appear that I have a stomach ulcer. Any suggestions? Seriously, this hurts and doctors are expensive. =(
Tiana D. replied:
Milk For years it was thought that milk was one of the best home remedies for ulcers. Many believed that drinking milk would coat the stomach and sooth ulcers. However, it is now known that the compounds contained in milk stimulate the production of acid in the stomach therefore aggravating the ulcer and can actually make the ulcer worse. Yellowroot Many ulcers are actually an infection caused by the bacteria Helicobacter pylori. The H. pylori bacterium eats a hole through the protective lining of the stomach, thus allowing digestive acids produced in the stomach to irritate the tender tissue underneath. Yellowroot is one of the most effective home remedies for ulcers because of it's very strong natural antibiotic properties. It attacks the bacteria directly therefore eliminating the cause of the ulcer, not just the symptoms. Mix one teaspoon of Yellowroot tincture in a glass of water and take it twice per day. Aspirin And Ibuprofen One of the easiest home remedies for ulcers is to simply stay away from drugs and medications that are known to eat away at the protective lining of the stomach. If you must take a pain reliever, substitute acetaminophen for aspirin and ibuprofen, acetaminophen is less likely to cause damage to the protective lining of the stomach. Olive Oil Take one teaspoonful, three times per day. Licorice Licorice is one of the best home remedies for ulcers that heal the stomach. Licorice contains properties that reinforce the protective lining of the stomach. Take two 400 milligram capsules before every meal, no longer than 4 weeks at a time, and consult with your healthcare professional first. Extended use of licorice can cause high blood pressure. DGL Lozenges Deglycyrrhizinated licorice, also known as DGL, is licorice root that has had the high blood pressure causing compound, glycyrrhizic acid removed. Slowly chew a DGL Lozenge 4-6 times per day. Bananas Bananas sooth the digestive system. When your ulcer is acting up, eat a banana three times per day. Slippery Elm One of the home remedies for ulcers that can replace your over-the-counter antacid. Slippery Elm isn't very effective at curing the cause of ulcers, but it is very effective at eliminating the symptoms of a flare-up. Take 1/4 teaspoon of powder and mix it with water until it becomes a paste. Eat this four times per day. Ginger Ginger is another one of the better home remedies for ulcers because of the antibacterial compounds it contains. The of the most enjoyable ways to take this treatment is with honey-candied ginger. The honey also has antibacterial qualities. Calendula Make a cup of tea with about five teaspoons of the dried herb. Alternatively, you can take it as a tincture. Cats Claw Because of it's additional benefits regarding stomach cancer, Cats Claw is one of the most beneficial home remedies for ulcers. It's strong anti-inflammatory properties sooth the delicate tissue affected by the ulcer. Cats Claw also reduces the effects of cancer causing compounds that may be found in the stomach. In capsule form, freeze dried, atomized or micropulverized, take 300 milligrams twice per day. If it's only pulverized, take 1500 milligrams twice per day. Cabbage Raw cabbage juice is another one of the most effective home remedies for ulcers. Use a juicer to make it at home and add some celery juice to improve the taste. If you still can't handle the taste of raw cabbage juice, you can alternatively get Glutamine, the active compound in cabbage, and take 500 milligrams, three times per day
