I've gone to the Philomath Family Clinic for decades, and I've always been happy with their physicians.
What doctor do you recommend in Corvallis? Family doctor/general practitioner, I guess. No big issues (a little muscle thing on the back of my neck) just haven't been to...
I really loved when we went to Dr. Rampton at Corvallis Family Medicine but not sure if he is accepting new patients. I had to go to a Family doc when we had to go to Corvallis Clinic, but I can't remember his name . Maybe throw out this questions in the Corvallis Healthy Mom group...I'm sure there are recs for alternative med. I am blessed to pretty much never have to go to the doctor at this stage in my life, so I don't know a ton!
Rachel K. replied:
I love Raymond Chin. He is in Albany though.
Marie P. replied:
Thanks, Kara Olsen Becerra. I have heard good things about Dr. Rampton, but it seems like I've heard he isn't taking new patients. I will put it on Corvallis Healthy Moms. Good idea. And thanks Rachel Kollenl. I don't know if I'll go to Albany unless I just can't find someone here. What do you like about him?
Jessica B. replied:
I really like my Dr. Her name is Chrystal Detweiler at the Samaritan Family Medicine Resident Clinic. She is a D. O. So she can be your family practice doctor and do chiropractic-like adjustments called OMT that feel AMAZING.
Hunting for a new primary care physician. I'm on OHP and I really need to start fresh with someone new. Keep in mind I've got celiac disease and a recurring tumor. I've...

Oh yeah Dr. David is great too. Also Corvallis Family Medicine. And Angie is an LPN. ....but really is fabulous. Im surprised to hear so many good things about Dr. Garrett. I found him to be absolutely horrible. No bedside manner at all. Same with Pam Trimmer. I'm glad he is not horrible to everyone at least!
Spencer I. replied:
My doctor is Dr Quiner at Corvallis Family Medicine he is good.
Sharla G. replied:
I suggest making sure you see an MD and not a NP. They can be good but with your history I would suggest an internal medicine doc. Try Dr. Jessup at Samaritan internal med.
Jamie F. replied:
Dr Garrett with Samaritan. He'll even take your insurance the boys and I love him and he knows all my dirty
Misty E. replied:
I see Angie Bean at Corvallis Family Medicine. I love her to pieces! She takes the time to sit and listen and is just all over wonderful:)

Dr Garrett at is really good with out of the ordinary stuff. We all really liked him.

I love Dr Jessup......she actually listens too me and doesn't make me feel crazy when I talk to her about symptoms. She is very compassionate, doesn't rush the apt and talks until you are done! I think you would really like her.

I really like Michael Potter in Albany. He listens and is proactive in his patient care. I have Neurological and Pain issues and he is very attentive.
Corvallis friends: any recommendations for an eye doctor, dentist, and primary doctor?
Justin M. replied:
For eye doctor, I really like Justin Heintz. He practices at All Family Vision over by Safeway/BiMart across from the Creekside apartments.
Felicia S. replied:
My roommate works at Willamette Dental in the complex next to Winco and they are awesome! They saved me a bunch of money and hassle by giving me a flouride toothpaste that fixed some problems spots that another dentist said I needed to get fixed.
Hey all - I am actively looking for any LGBT-sensitive primary care physician recommendations this group might have. Corvallis seems to have a lack of GLMA identified...
Richard A. replied:
If you're allowed to Dr. Sebring at Osu student health is awesome. I believe he also works out in the community somewhere
