And the link. No, I am not a troublemaker, but this 'playing for charity' raises it's ugly head regularly this time of year. Where I'm sure your event is done purely for all the right reasons, it's STILL taking advantage of musicians as they are the only ones not being paid. The bar staff, cleaners, caterers, security do not work for free. It's a scam and so many musicians will do it because they are desperate to play. Usually they will not be very good.
