Don't touch PC World unless you absolutely have to. Your local independent should be able to sort it for way less. Word of mouth is your best recommendation

Hard to say if its hardware or software as both could cause a problem like that. I think you do need an IT skilled person to get a feel for it and perhaps run some diags. There is a shop on Park St I think (don't know name) and also Spa Computer Centre just down from Bar44 (or whatever that is called now.
