I love Dr Tjaden and Dr O'Brien of Children's Medical Group!!! Awesome doctors!!

Dr. Altshuler of Pediatric Specialists. Been with them for 10 years!

Love pediatric associates of barrington. My brother went to them when he was little, now my kids and my sisters go there. The office is a more holistic style. They do not believe in giving prescriptions to kids unless needed. We see Dr. Colen, he's great!

I second the Gancyco's at Caring Family. We see George mainly because he has been the best with my special needs son but his wife Jamie is awesome as well. I have always felt that they spend time with us and answer all of our questions. They are really good at last minute appointments too.

We went to children and teens in Algonquin. I was extremely happy with them. My son just switched because now he is almost 19 but he went there since birth. They are in downtown Algonquin on route 31 and what used to be Huntington Road. 847-854-5900

I like Caring Family for my entire family. I prefer Dr. Giese or the female Dr. Cancyko (anyone know the correct spelling?).

Dr Megahed with Children and Teens in Algonquin. All the docs at that practice are good but he's our regular go-to.

I live in crystal lake and drive 15 minutes north to Mchenry for a GREAT pediatrician, Dr. Sandra Karna at Mercy Medical Bldg on route 31 across from Centegra Mchenry Hospital. She ALWAYS gets us in when someone wakes up sick or needs immediate attention. We never wait for our appt. When you are in with her she spends as much time as you want discussing concerns and never brushes anything off. She listens to you and is outstanding with the children. A true Doctor dedicated to children. She is worth the extra few minutes of drive time 815-344-4499

I 100% agree with above post. I've been taking all three kids to Dr. Karna for over 10 years. We love her!!

Barry Altschuler Pediatric specialties on Terra Cotta.

I second Dr. Altschuler. Was my children's pediatrician 20 yrs ago. From my son's birth until we moved to Ohio. He was 9. Check him out and good luck in your search.

I too would recommend Dr. Tommy. He's been our family doctor for years and it's like he's part of the family. Anytime we get sick of store bought hot dogs, we just take the kids down to his office (on Rt 14) and get the everyday special.

Dr Hott on Rt 14 is great! Very personable and even referred to as dr tommy as well. He's great and will meet your child's every need of health and appetite.

Dr. Phalen in Rockford is fantastic! (Everyone at Women's and Children's is great.). Plus, they have walk in hours every morning from 8 to 9 am.

Dr. Crawley at Mercy in Woodstock. We have had nothing but good experiences with her!

We also use Dr. Gronberg. He's great with my boys and has a fun sense of humor.

I've seen both Drs. Gancayco myself and also Dr. Ramirez there for myself (at Caring Family)... I am very happy with them. I do not care for Dr. Giese tho. My husband didn't like him either.

Centegra primary care ( Huntley location doc building by Centegra Health bridge Huntley location . There's 1 main # to call . . Dr Knapik is great !

Love all the doctors at pediatric specialists (Dr. Altschuler). As for preschool, Thunderbird is the best.

We have been with Dr. Gronberg for 14 years with detailed care. Dr. Larkner is our backup. I actually find Dr. Buthod to size up to your description of Gronberg on here Kara. To each his own, they only way to find out is to make the appt and shake hands with them yourself.

Friendship House Preschool is great!

Dr. Gronberg caught a very serious issue with my daughter that was hereditary, so all of my kids ended up having it. Due to his early intervention my kids suffered no complications. Dr. Buthod also caught a potentially deadly issue with my oldest because she is so thorough. Love them both!

Kiddie Academy behind movie theatre. Clean, new, live video monitoring, awesome staff. I looked at 6 other preschools (all the ones listed in comments above) before deciding on this one.

Darling Rascals preschool in Prarie Grove is amazing! The kids also learn Spanish, do yoga, take swimming lessons, etc. It's so much more than a preschool. PM me for details.

We also see Dr. Altschuler at Pediatric Specialists and my son goes to Purple Moose preschool. I highly recommend both.

I am adding another recommendation for Dr Altschuler, he's phenominal. I had him as a kid. As for my daughter, she saw Dr Knapik out of Centegra in Huntley, and I loved her too.

Dr. Karna at Mercy McHenry is my favorite physician ever. She takes time to answe questions, never talks down to you and is great with little ones. Yet my almost 16 year old son was horrified that eventually he'll have to go to a regular dr. He said, quote, "but I want to go to Dr. Karna forever!"

Also love children's medical group!! Dr Tjaden and Dr O'Brien are awesome!! This year will be my daughters first year of preschool. We are going to Learning Tree Preschool on Woodstock St.

Dr Karen Federici at Family First Physicians in Genoa is amazing! She is also a certified lactation consultant, so obviously she is very supportive if BFing. I'm not sure if she can accept any more patients, but it's definitely worth a try.

Did Dr. Altschuler retire?! He was my doctor and I absolutely loved him! I bring my daughter to children's medical group in lith. Haven't had any problems and they're all so good with the kids. The office staff is super friendly and easy to work with as well. Dr. O'Brien and Dr. Tjaden are great!

I love my pediatrician. Dr. Karna out of Mercy McHenry. Right across the street from Centegra Hospital. She's been our dr since our oldest was born 8 years ago, and I'd never take my kids anywhere else.

Is it Dr. Adrienne Edge? She was my daughter's first pediatrician and was fantastic! I thought she took time to listen to me as a new mom. She is very kind and caring!

Dr Fell, Belter and Megahead at Children and Teens

We loved Dr. Fell; only problem was it's in Barrington, kind of a drive. He was great, really interested in my daughter's disease, very kind, compassionate and funny. He even came to her funeral, which no other doctors did. Highly recommend Dr. Fell!!!

Children and Teens also has an office in Lake in the Hills and Algonquin. Dr. Fell is awesome!
