Check out Animal Trustees of Austin. It's off I-35 and Cameron. I've been taking our pets there for year. I end up paying less than $100 for check up, vaccines, heart worm preventative, and flea control. It's a walk in service but worth it. You can make an appointment and pay a bit more.

My sister just added a puppy to her family and she is raving about her new vet, Dr. House over at San Marcos Veterinary Clinic is the absolute best! $47 for physical, parvo shot and de-worming. What really put the icing on the cake was seeing him treat her baby with so much love. He even sales products at office (front store) but when my sister mentioned he was having issues with bowel movements, he suggested she add bits of pineapple to his food and it worked!! He could have tried to upsell by referring her to his many list of products but he didn't because he truly LOVES and CARES for his patients!! 17 miles from Lockhart but definitely worth every mile. He's my new vet!!
