Garage Door company recommendations? My garage will close, but then open right back up sometimes and if I'm not careful I will forget to stay and make sure it stays...

Read your manual, if it's reversing you might be able to tweak a dial setting on the opener unit and adjust/fix it yourself.

In northeast Dallas, call Hollywood door on White Rock Trail. They service residential garage doors and they also manufacture custom rolling doors for commercial applications.

Tim Tucker -- 972.571.3870. Good and SUPER cheap. Granted, he's weird as all hell, but does a good job.

As others said, the limits may be set wrong, but another possibility is if the "laser" (not really laser) senor system that detects someone walking through the door (usually a little LED thing on one side and a reflector on the other) isn't securely mounted and/or poorly aimed, the vibration of the door as it comes down can cause it to go out of alignment enough to think the beam has been blocked (it thinks someone is going through / in the way of the door) and it reverses. Make sure those things are not flopping about and are well aimed. They usually have an indicator light on one of them to see if it thinks it's blocked or not.
