I haven't done any cabins. We usually get houses off of vrbo.com that have good reviews. I know Kit Carol Lyons-Smith loves the Red Top Cabins http://redtopcabins.com/

The visa-on-arrival is for 90 days, so you won't need a visa (unless you want to work). Israel isnt a cheap place to be, a hotel in Tel Aviv is about 50 USD per night. If you can get an AirBNB with a kitchen Id recommend it, cause eating out isnt cheap either, I'd say a cheap meal out would cost you about 15USD, a restraint will cost about 30. At two meals a day and a hotel, thats 80-100 USD per day, excluding transport.

If you want some good BBQ just head down the street to Slow Bone BBQ or if you want Mexican food head to Ojeda's and then if you're looking for something to do to kill a bunch of time there's a "barcade" up the street called The Cidercade.
