I'm in the same boat as you. I have a diabetic kitty so leaving him at home with a few bowls of food for a few days alone is no longer an option. The only way I can leave the city is if I find a pet sitter to actually live in my apartment and stick to a strict injection schedule ( I really miss sleeping in on the weekends). I'll keep an eye on this post in case I need someone in the future.

Dar, Belle Kennel in Porter's Lake is awesome. We used to take Sadie there and she (and we) loved the place and the owners. The dogs would have their own kennels to sleep in of course, and if they get along with other dogs there is an acre of different fenced off areas for the dogs to run around and play. http://www.bellekennel.com/
