Heidi, that should work. This is the carpet cleaner that I have; it is the pet model. I don't have any cleaner and usually just use hot water, but feel free to use whatever cleaner you like. http://www.bissell.com/... The vacuum is a dyson dc14 that is probably about 7 years old but is the "animal" version and works well for us.

Stanley Steemer is the single greatest, most reliable company that has ever visited my house. Came in 100 degree heat on 2 hours notice to bail me out of a skunked dog/Pottery Barn rug debacle. I gave the guy Cokes and turkey sandwiches and a healthy cash tip. Best money I ever spent.
