Hello everyone, I'm trying to get my son into a daycare ASAP! Can any moms or dads give me advice about how to get a voucher and get him into a daycare? Thanks in...
Jacky J. replied:
I own a childcare center in Orange City, you will need to call ELC at 386.323.2400. You need what they call a school readiness voucher. There is usually a waiting list unless you have a referral from DCF or The One Stop Career center. Have them place you on the list. All the children going to kindergarten are aged out and those funds will become available. If you have anymore questions feel free to inbox me. Will be happy to help you.

May be better off going on Care.com and finding a over night sitter, every person has to go through a background check!

As a preschool teacher and mommy I always recommend this website. It's DCF's guide to childcare. You can look up providers in your area along with what they offer and even see their past inspection results and what violations they've had. http://www.myflfamilies.com/service-programs/child-care/parent-resources

https://www.facebook.com/153397518030446 Sandcastle Learning Center is an amazing center. The staff are all exceptional and we've never had a problem. To say they have gone above and beyond for my child is an understatement and I highly recommend them. I also agree with everyone else's advice on going unannounced to a few places to see what you think. We toured 4 before finding Sandcastle and never looked back.

Warner Christian in South Daytona is GREAT with infants. Had mine there many years ago. When 2 yr - IMAGINATION STATION on Dunlawton Ave in Port Orange. LOVE LOVE LOVE. They take 2 yr to 5 yr old. No after school kids. Hardwood floors - clean. And the education factor (with fun) awesome. My son went there from 2 thru 5. He LOVED it.
