The Laminate Store in OC was great when they did ours.

Our wood laminate has swelled a bit from the humidity and bubbled up, but it was repaired under warranty. The "wettest" areas of ours haven't done any worse than the rest of the floor, but we do make a conscious effort to keep it dry. Laminate Store in OC was good to us as well.

Urine will mess it up faster yes, not noticeable. No it is not a coating that goes over the laminate flooring its the quality of the material u buy $. DO NOT WET MOP LAMINATE FLOORING NO WATER lol

I thought laminate was more geared towards "wet areas", at least thats what I was told when researching wood floors. Real wood floors you can't get wet at all, that's why they sell laminate for kitchens, laundry rooms, bathrooms, etc. But ask them over at Laminate Store in OC, they installed new rugs in my home recently and everyone was great to work with.
