westcoastseeds.com is local and has a huge selection. You can check them out online or drive to ladner. For tomatoes and peppers they do not need a greenhouse nor cover but peppers would like the added heat and tomatoes do best when no water gets on them (blight is brutal). Onion success depends alot on how and when you plant them as well as what kind.
