Far Out Play Centre in Mornington. You could be in Launceston in 2 hours if you wanted to venture that far? Or stay somewhere like gumleaves, it's kid friendly and not too far.

Totally agree re great coffee & kid friendly at Providence in North Hobart, also Sweet Envy (Eliz. St North Hobart) for delicious cakes & kid friendly, Raincheck Lounge for breaky/lunch/coffee/family friendly & over the road is Fish 349 which serves delicious seafood superfast & have high chairs & coloring tools. Caldew/Train Park, Soundy Park, Lower Sandy Bay Park & Cornelian Bay Park r all great too. Enjoy!

If you are in the cbd, Haven is a great spot for kids to have a play, as well as feeding and bathroom facilities. Myer Hobart also has god kiddies toilets as does Centrepoint. I must say Shoebox in north Hobart have great food and coffee, with free baby chinos. State library run some good kiddie reading groups if you wanted to join in, but the parks here are great. La Suprema have 9.90 pasta meals with ice cream, and high chair facilities, plus quick service for dinner. Woolmers Inn on Sandy Bay Road have good apartments at a great price, with free parking, and is also close to the city. I hope you love it here. W
