Stay away from the land line Telekom Speedy service. We use Indosat through a wifi modem, the skype and download speed is the same even better than in London. If you can't get a good signal with Indosat where you are, try XL or Telecomsel. It will be trial and error depending on your location however once you get the network which has good coverage where you are its worth it. The shop where you purchase the sim cards from should be able to recommend the best company for your location anyway.

could try fiber optic internet connection put in by Telkom IF the cables are in your area... subscribe to their Indihome service. They also offer telephone and a cable television service, The speedtest reports it as 10MB upload and download.
