Just a little add on to Ralphs comment. If anyone is ever needing a hospital, I cannot fault the Malaysian hospital system. Having been a Glen Eagles in and out patient the last few months in Penang, cannot fault them. Extremely professional treatments and service, great diagnostics and at a fraction of the cost of Singapore. This country has medical tourism down pat, most doctors in the private hospitals here are also trained and qualified in Singapore and overseas. I was extremely ill and doubt I would have survived had I been in Bali.

Dr Denny Thong will see people after 6 pm at Hannah Pharmacy for 300,000 IDR or for free if you can't afford it. He is a psychiatrist and runs BIMC. He works from Hannah Apotek Monday to Friday until 9 pm. I can't remember the road but if you call BIMC or Hannah they will tell you. He trained in Australia & has excellent English.

I would say Sanglah. It's the biggest hospital on the island, and a teaching hospital, and anything serious ends up there anyway, so that's where you want to be if something goes wrong. But it's not as sheeny-shiny as some of the other hospitals. I would avoid Siloam.
