Apparently my friend Jerry Taylor and I had the same idea. Alpine Access is a virtual call center and is a great place to work and once you are hired they are very flexible. If you put either of our names in and your application gets bumped up and either of us get a bonus if you get hired. They hire vets, thank you very much for your service. The pay isn't astronomical but there is no commuting and its a legitimate work from home company with lots of room for advancement. Just ask Jay. He moved up really quickly. I have been there six years. Can't say enough good things. They require high speed internet and a dedicated home phone line and some basic equipment like an office phone and head set. Good luck.

Can someone recommend a bee removal service? I have a bee hive that I need to get rid of. I don't know much about bees, but I'm pretty sure someone could get use out of...

Beekeeper here, a few things. It's swarm season!
A) Are you certain they're honeybees? This might sound like a stupid question, but when I was on a swarm list, most calls I got were actually for wasps. If they're not bees you need an exterminator (unless you want to take care of them yourself).
B) If the bees are established and have already starting building comb, especially inside of a wall, most keepers on a bee list won't be interested. Way too much work and a high likely-hood of accidentally killing the queen. Bees in swarms are docile, but established bees in a hive can be angry as fuck. Some keepers might have a bee vacuum and be willing to remove, but probably at a price. You might need an exterminator at this point.
Good luck!

I had an infestation in my house a few years ago and used Orkin. They came and sprayed and we've never had a problem since. I think they had a 3-step process or something so it involved numerous visits. I think it was kinda expensive up front but I was willing to do anything to get rid of those nasty beasts.
Anonymous replied:
A friend had them in Cap Hill a few years back (btw I don't recommend the Juls on Washington). He got rid of them by putting literally a solid line of the powder around his bed and furniture. Probably not the safest thing as it was a small studio, but it worked.

When my brother had bed bugs he used http://www.pestdetective.com he said the bugs were gone after the first spraying and they did a great job.
DeviatedNorm replied:
Find the biggest dryer nearby and start drying literally anything that can go in and won't be damaged by heat. After it's dry bag it up in plastic bags and tie them securely. Only open when necessary.
Depending on how bad the infestation is, spraying can work just fine or heat can take several treatments. Spraying is a lot cheaper, but will really only work if you have a small, localized infestation. That's how they start, but they can grow very quickly. Hopefully you noticed it quick enough.
Try to be super careful moving from where the infestation is to where you think it isn't.
Thankfully you're in a house. Often when you're in an apartment your only recourse is to move as soon as possible.
Anyway, the aftercare is largely being aware and paying close attention to the signs of bed bugs. The only practical thing you can also do is throw everything in the dryer as soon as you come home, except even that isn't very practical.
