Can someone suggest a fairly central London hotel, less than £100 a night?

Haha, no problem. Well if you're in Kilburn, promise me you'll both go for a meal at The Little Bay Restaurant - It's the best hidden gem in the whole of London and my all-time favourite place to eat in the city, with balcony tables too!! http://www.littlebaykilburn.co.uk/west-hampstead-restaurant-photo-gallery/

We've been 3. Times to yucatan and loved it but wanted to try Dominican in nov this yr . Anyone recommend any nice hotels in punta Cana .
Huw W. replied:
There are some Rius in Punta Cana, a popular one is the Riu Bambu or there are a couple of Riu Palaces if you want a bit more luxury ! The Palace Macao and the Palace Punta Cana. Have you got a RiuClass card from your previous visits? You could use it there too !
Kevin J. replied:
Been to Punta Cana many times and always stayed in either the Riu Palace Punta Cana or Riu Bambu. The Riu hotels go in the following order from top to bottom, and you can use the facilities of your own hotel plus those of the hotels below you in the chain, but not above. Palace Bavaro, Palace Macao, Palace Punta Cana, Bambu and finally Naiboa. The Palace PC is currently classed by Thomson as 'A La Carte', but will be downgraded to 'Platinum' in October or November this year. Good deals to be had there at the moment. The Bambu is a family orientated 'club hotel' and as much as I loved it, having been to the Palace PC, the extra cost is worth it. The food quality is better (although I still consider the Bambu to be of a high standard) and so is the drink and cocktail menu. At the Bambu you are restricted to simple cocktails made from pre-mixed ingredients. At the Palace PC, there is a whole menu dedicated to Martini's. However, the Bambu has an air-conditioned sports bar which is a godsend in the humid evenings. Last year though I went to Mexico and in my opinion, it's just so much better. If you stay at either the Yucatan, Playacar or Tequila you can use the facilities of each, and the drinks are of equal quality to the Palaces in the DR. The other major plus was that you can safely go outside the resort in Mexico, but not so in the DR. An afternoon or two out of the resort in Playa Del Carmen supping cold bottles of Corona is not to be sniffed at. Different people like different things but I'm sure you will have a great holiday in the DR regardless.

Can anyone recommend a nice hotel they've stayed in in Central London that's fairly cheap?? Just for one night so doesn't have to be too fancy. Preferably near Mayfair...
Fiona W. replied:
Emily type in Secret hotels - you'll get a good deal on a great hotel. I stayed at The Russell in Bloomsbury for 65.00 mid summer and The Fitzrovia for 56.00 - both nice 4 star hotels. You can book by area of London and star rating but the actual hotel isn't revealed until after you've booked but you can usually narrow it down to one or two hotels by checking the map area. You get a good discount and I have never been disappointed! xx
