Dr Olson does take Tricare. She's family practice. I was told last year when Dr. Jang's office closed that Dr. Dobbins didn't take Tricare. Maybe that's changed. Dr. Taylor is Family Practice as well. I take my 16 month old to him. But I like Dr. Olson, as well.

There are 2 Dr Dobbins. They r brothers. Tom Dobbins is internal medicine and pediatrics. Jeff Dobbins is family practice. Dr Jeff Dobbins does take Tricare. I don't know about Dr Tom Dobbins. They are both in the same office.

There's also hardly ever a long wait at Dr Olson's office. The first time I took my kids to Dr Dobbins, we were in the waiting room for almost 2 hours and had an appointment.

Dr Thomas Dobbins is sharp... had to use him only a few times for my kids but have worked with him in hospital. He is smart at diagnosing some things that I have seen others misdiagnose.

Dr. Andre Guierrmo 460-7688 He's an internist and accommodates my preference for minimally invasive and more natural treatments, if possible. But a couple of friends use him and they prefer meds to whack things out and are also very happy. My impression is that he adapts to his patients, which is cool. When we are sick, we can get in. Occasionally, I've had a hard time getting a late notice maintenance appointment, but that wasn't his fault. We've been pleased.

I also use Dr. Crowe for both of my kids and we love him.

Like everyone is say the childrens clinic in Lake Charles my twins see Dr. Wallace and have seen so many more there also and they treat you and your child great. They are open on weekends. They can get you in on the same day. Never have any trouble getting an appointment.

Both my kids have been seeing Dr. Wallace at the Children's Clinic since birth and they are now 15 & 10....he is awesome and there's clinics in moss bluff, sulphur, & the main clinics in lake charles and they are open on weekends also till noon I believe is the time and also open on holidays to my knowledge....I've been pleased with them and have 100% confidence with him as a doctor....he's great!!

Definitely Children's Clinic!!! We see Dr. Karriker!! But we've seen a few others and they all are fabulous!! Plus, I've never had trouble getting an appointment!!

I love Dr Dobbins. We've also seen the new nurse practitioner twice now, Danielle Craft, and I really liked her as well. I like Dr Dobbins because he doesn't rush us through appts and always offers for us to call him at home when he kids are sick. Very caring man.

Children's clinic in lake charles. You can get your child in usually the same day, they have offices in moss bluff, lake charles & sulphur. They're open late and on weekends so you can usually avoid emergency room visits. They accept most insurances too. My son sees Dr Foster Kordisch but allnof them are great.

Dr Begg and dr Davis in Leesville. Love them both. Appointments usually happen on the day you call. They both are quick to care for te children and both very kid friendly. I hAve seen dr Begg for 7 years now with my two older ones after several different pediatricians in Deridder and Leesville and he has been amazing. Dr Davis recently joined his clinic, and so far she is just as good. They are both very thorough and don't just guess at what your child may or may not have, they actually diagnose and treat.

Dr Douce and Dr Crowe in Leesville. I love that they don't try to just force antibiotics for everything and really listen to our concerns. They are great.

Dr Crowe in Leesville. The best! He totally listened to me when I thought something was wrong with my child when she was an infant. She would throw up every feeding and nobody else took me at my word. He got her on meds and she was good. Also he is just very kind and easy to deal with. Love him! Never had a problem with anyone in his office and we have been there almost 6 years.

Dr Crowe. People sometimes complain because they hardly get to see him but all you have to do is ask them to put on your chart you only want to see him and they will schedule you with only him.

My husband, 11 year old daughter, and I see Dr. Connie Olson here in DeRidder. She and her staff are great!! We have Tricare as well. I was in a very bad car accident when I was 16 years old and suffered a traumatic brain injury and serious C-Spine fra cture. I am 42 years old today and have some special medical needs now and I will have more as I continue to age. When I moved to DeRidder a little over a year ago, I saw another doctor for a few months but didn't care for him or his staff. I contacted several other doctors but they weren't willing to see me because of my brain injury and the medical needs I have. Dr. Olson agreed to meet with me and review my medical records. After my first appointment and medical review, she said it wouldn't be a problem to be my primary care physician. I have seen her for about a year now. I love her. She works with my compounding pharmacy, which is in Lafayette, and she will be working with my neurologist, who is in Lake Charles, as my TBI and C-Spine symptoms progress. Having her as my primary doctor and her being local helps so much.

Tamara Hilker Dr Wallace is an older Dr,not real old, but he is a little more old fashioned. He has always listened to my concerns and has always told me to call him anytime. Like if he see my daughter towards the end of the week, he'll tell me if we h ave any problems call the office and have them page him. He is also not quick to put on antibiotics. Which I love. I have always been able to get my daughter in the day I call and never wait more than 30 min before being in a room and seen. Of course if they are running tests and all I'm in there longer but I've at least been seen by that time frame. There has only been a few times that I've had to see another Dr because Wallace has been off. I love the staff and all the Dr's we've seen have been great.

Dr. Dobbins has been amazing with my children, there is sometimes a wait, but it is worth it. He remembers my kids and little things that they have told him in the past and legitimately cares about their well being. I normally don't say anything negative on here but I would not recommend Dr Perkins.

Not only do they give great medical advice and explanation, they are VERY pro-parent. Dr. Scavella is awesome. She is very caring and loving. My son has autism and loves her and she is amazing with him. She nor the office have no problem w his service dog either. They all know him and his dog by name.

Definitely Dr. Scavella. She has looked for answers for my two boys when no one else would. She's very pleasant and easy to get along with.

I use Dr.Crowe for all three of my boys! But make sure when you call for an appointment make sure it is WITH Crowe. Unless you don't mind a nurse practitioner. They are amazing as well! With Crowe it may be a week or so to get in with him.

I saw Dr. Perkins once I moved to Merryville when I was in high school and I kept getting migraines and dizzy and he wanted to prescribe me narcotics every time I went to see him. I had to explain to him that I was a Senior in high school I couldn't be taking medicine that would make me sleepy.

I would recommend Drs. Crowe and Douce in Leesville or Dr. T. Dobbins here in Deridder.

I also recommend Dr. Crowe. We use him for both kids. Everyone in his office is great. I don't know about the natural approaches thing but I know he doesn't prescribe medicine if its not necessary and he always has tips for at home treatments if it's not something serious.

I've had bad experiences with DeRidder Dr's. I take mine to the children's clinic in Lake Charles. There, you have several doctors to use & if you have sick children, you can visit a Dr that's on call Sat & Sun from 9-12. I personally use Dr Maust (he practiced in Texas). Every time I go, he takes his time & explains. Any work that needs to be done (xrays, shots, iv's, etc) is performed in the office. If I need an appt that day, I get one that day. I've used him for 11+ years.

Dr. CROWE AND HIS CREW ARE AWESOME. I've got three children with chalanging issue's and they've always been there to listen and help.

Love Dr. Crowe and Dr. Douce. My son is frequently sick and they always get him in right away. My son was also just in the hospital and Dr. Douce was there with us every step of the way.

You must of had Dr. Davis.:( my kids saw her too. I brought my 1 yr old to see Dr. Scavella and she is very friendly and cares.

We use Dr.Pullin in Eunice. It's a drive but well worth it. They know I live a good ways and always get me in the same day if I want. Plus he is an amazing Dr. that's why we never switched to anyone closer. That's where my dr is and I deliver that's why they have a Eunice Dr.

Dr.Scavella, she is the best and she genuinely cares for the children. I have had nurses call me for her because she wanted to know how my child was and if I was able to get a descent deal on the script she wrote. We love her!!

I love Dr. Perkins. He has been my youngest child's pediatrician since birth. 462-6000 He is on Bon Ami behind the social security office.

My boys went to Dr Perkins and I personally don't like him. I didn't feel that he tried to connect with my children. My youngest son had a fever and I called the doctor on call who happened to be Dr Perkins and he told me to wait until Monday and bring him into the office.The next day my son's fever was extremely high so I brought him to the emergency room and found out he had pneumonia. If I listened to Dr Perkins and waited, I can only imagine what would happen to my son.I am now with Dr Dobbins and so far I really like him and his nursing staff.

Melissa Wilkinson, I just remembered that Dr Dobbins is no longer taking new patients. A friend of mine just recently changed her children's doctor to Dr Crowe in Leesville. I've heard nothing but good things about him.
