Country View is a really great place I have going there for long time ! When he had to put sable to sleep because she had cancer he cared her back to the van & put a blanket around her she was my first dog that we had for a long time & gave me a hug . They really care
Shannon R. replied:
The Pet Mobile. She is really good and is fair on prices. She will come pick the cat up, take it to her house, do the surgery and bring him back the next day. I have had her work on 2 cats in the past
Terry V. replied:
Its a trip But Argyle vet is awesome and is the cheapest place around
I'm looking for a reasonably priced veterinarian in the area.
Jenny P. replied:
Brittany- I also go to Dr. Jean Elmer at Starlight. On Hwy F (south) of Blue Mounds.
Jenny P. replied:
AND I love Dr. Vogel at Mount Horeb! but she is only there 3 days a week.
Rachael W. replied:
Mount Horeb Animal Hospital!! Dr. Vogel is THE best!!!
Stefanie B. replied:
Black Earth Veterinary Clinic!! Very reasonable prices and the staff is amazing.
Katie M. replied:
Verona Animal Hospital is amazing!! They are so kind and caring!
Rachelle R. replied:
Starlight Vet in Blue Mounds. Dr. Jean is very comparable to Mt. Horeb Clinic and Dr. Williams rates and she's always on call.
Amber S. replied:
I will only go to Starlight Vet, from now on, she is amazing!
Jennie K. replied:
I think it depends on what kind of animal you have. If you have a cat, I would NOT take it to Mt. Horeb Animal Hospital. Starlight is great.
Kari S. replied:
Dodgeville Vet Clinic all the way! We used to go to Mt Horeb, but Dodgeville provides better care, and they are cheaper. Dr. Holter is the best, but they are all great!
Hailey E. replied:
I would NEVER go back to Dr. Williams. I think he's rude, inaccurate, and skips SO many things that he should be checking during a regular health exam...I have been going to True Veterinary Care/Sarah Kalstrup, DVM for a couple of months now and she is the most amazing miracle that could have happened to us. No other vet, including the UW vets could figure out what was wrong with our boy and she did. She's AMAZING
Sonja M. replied:
Starlight is amazing. 24 hour emergency service and Dr. Jean has a great bed-side manner with my animals.
Christine K. replied:
Williams Small Animal Clinic in Mt Horeb. Dr. Williams is awesome and the prices are a heck of a lot more reasonable than what you find in Madison. We take all our pets there and have for years.
Zac J. replied:
Another +1 for Williams Small Animal Clinic.
Amanda K. replied:
Dr. Williams for sure. He was almost half the price for our kitten's declaw and spay. Saved my Guinean pig too! Emergency vet in Madison told me we would half to put him down or pay $2,000 to repair his eye. Williams gave me $8 worth of drops to use and he never had a problem after.
Angel-Angelique H. replied:
Doc Williams
Kim K. replied:
Starlight Vet. Dr. Jean is the best vet I've found in the area.
Ginny M. replied:
Dodgeville Vet is great but too expensive had to change vets:(
Jill P. replied:
Oregon Vet Clinic. It is a little drive but worth every mile. We took our beloved cat to Doc Williams & Starlight and neither were able to diagnose her. Within 1 hour at Oregon Vet Clinic we had an answer, 2 years & 4 vets later. I would never go anywhere else. Oh, and they were incredibly reasonable. Starlight is cheap but I question her abilities.
Jodi M. replied:
Dr Williams. His clinic is awesome. Been going for years. Actually, my daughter drives from Madison to bring her cats there.
Zac J. replied:
I'm going to put it like this- When I got my dog as a pup, I started going to MH Animal hospital because we could walk there from my apartment. One lady who worked their was a complete bitch every time I took my dog in for shots. I always paid without hesitation and never questioned their services. I was leaving to go out of town, and took my pooch to a local kennel, but they said he needed his yearly shots first. I called MH, explained the situation, and was told they were "too busy." It takes all of 5 minutes to give those shots I pay $70 for. I called Doc Williams, who I've known for many years as his son was a classmate of mine, he has me come right over and charges me less. I went to Williams for many visits after that. A few years ago, when Starlight opened a clinic in Blue Mounds, I started going in there for a few things because that clinic is closer to my home now. Jean is OK, but a year ago she called me up at my job screaming at me, using vulgar language, because her truck was stuck in the mud. I didn't make it rain 4" the 5 days prior. Who calls someone up and talks to someone who has spend over $1000 at your clinic in a brief amount of time like that?! Needless to say I went back to Doc Williams with my head hung low. I felt bad and explained to Dave why my dog hadn't been in, and not only was he happy that we did return, he understood my attempt for change. Sometimes change isn't good. As long as I have pets, they will be treated ONLY by Williams Small Animal Clinic.
Bonnie W. replied:
Been going to Doc Williams for years. In Feb he had to put my dog down and I couldn't have asked for a more caring vet and his wife also. I think it bothered him even more than me. You can see his love for animals. Never once thought his prices were high.

Doc Williams all the way!! Been taking my dog for years and my parents dogs forever!

It was Mr. Klingelhofer who worked at the Co-op. I have thought of him quite a bit recently - this site has brought back a lot of memories.

Susan Stratman White, Rod Olson, if you are interested in getting information on Karen Dresser-Lux, you might try calling Dick Perkins in Fruita, CO. Dick's mother, Doris Perkins, just passed away in July of this year. She is a half-sister to Gladys Dresser, so Dick and Karen would be first cousins. He may know where Karen is living now. His number is 970-858-8897.

Glenn, Bob is the one you're probably thinking of. He was in my class - 1964. Bobby was killed in a car (?) accident in about 1965, a year after we graduated. Bill has also passed away some time ago, but I don't know when. There were two girls also, Nancy and Karen.
Russell S. replied:
for the latest info on cousin Karen Dresser-Lux try Marsha Peterson, as she stays with Karen some place in Florida off and on through the winter months.
Rod O. replied:
Fred had the Royal Blue store on main street, about where Lands End has the outlet store before the store on the north end, and yes, I believe it was a skating rink before that, Nancy. And Fred had 4 children, Nancey, Billy, Karen and Bobby.
