Grove Mount Dental Practice in Ramsey. I've been with the same dentist for ten years since moving to the island and he's excellent. I never thought he'd be able to save my teeth but he has and even made them look nice. They offer Denplan. All the dentists and other staff are lovely and friendly and definitely put you at ease. I see Thanos but I know all the other dentists in the practice and they're all brilliant. I can't recommend them highly enough.

I may be wrong but I seem to remember having to put my families names down on a waiting list at Crookhall House. When an NHS dentist is able to take new patients we got notified. My husband was offered the 1 st available NHS dentist with available space at a practice in Ramsey, we live in Castletown, he declined and waited till a space was available in Port Erin.

You have to ring Dental Sevices, Douglas, and go on a list, good luck though I've been waiting over 12 months x

Something needs to be done urgently with regard to NHS dentists as they can't seem to recruit them here.Not everyone can afford private,things are getting really bad

I think Ramsey now are only taking emer app to as we only have one NHS dentist now, think the others keep getting scared away lol X nothing to do with me ( thou I'm sure he would disagree)

The NHS one is only open 9-11 am. I think there is a private one who does emergency appts - hopefully someone will know the name. If you can get to a chemist Nurofen Plus is the best over the counter painkiller I found when I was waiting for a root canal.

It says there's an out of hours emergency dentist on duty and a number to phone for weekend and Bank Holiday emergencies.

Have to say Tracey Bell was fantastic with my daughter when she was young after a scary experience with another dentist. She has no fear of the dentist any more
