I found Craniosacral therapy FAR superior to chiropractic treatment. I went to a chiropractor for “maintenance” work for years, yet after one Craniosacral therapy session I felt like a different person. Sadly the person I went to is moving off island, but I think there’s another in Peel (google it)

Hi Andrea. I offer Cryo-Stimulation treatments which would definitely help you son... Cryo-Stimulation is the Revolutionary treatment to Reduce Inflammation and Pain, Decrease Recovery Time and Improve Function of Joints and Soft Tissues, from Illness, Sports Injuries and Surgery… So What does it actually DO? Local Cryostimulation involves the combination of pressure and exposure to extreme low temperatures (approx. -78 degrees) to a specific area of the body. Cryostimulation activates to the body’s optimum defence mechanism and that is why it is a totally safe treatment. During the short treatment only the skin is cooled superficially and the body responds with vasoconstriction of the blood vessels, which causes rapid vasodilation post treatment driving micro-circulations around the treatment area. The Key Benefits of Localised Cryostimulation are: · Reduction of Pain, Pain Syndromes and Neuralgias (Nerve Pain)· Assists the Healing of Breaks and Fractures· Releases Muscle Spasms· Reduces Muscle Tension· Improvement of Joint Function· Faster Recovery from Training and/or Injury (return to activity is approximately 50% faster)· Decreases Inflammation, Bruising and Swelling· Quickly eases Muscle Fatigue· Improves Circulation (Speeding up Healing process)· Ideal for Muscle Strains and Ligament Sprains· Effective for Tendon Injuries (tendonitis, tendonosis, tendonopathy)· Non-Invasive treatment· Healing continues for up to 6 hours post treatment How does it Work? Extreme low temperatures and high pressures stimulate the thermoreceptors in the skin which send signals to the Brain that are stronger that the pain receptor signals. The skin is rapidly cooled to the necessary temperatures to create cryostimulation (Thermic Shock). Localised Cryostimulation triggers the vasoconstriction followed by the rapid vasodilation providing the patient with a natural analgesic effect as well as increasing micro-circulations around the treatment area. The natural analgesic effect reduces Tension, provides Pain-Relief and Increases Muscle and Joint Movement and functionality. While the vasodilation triggers the increased flow of Oxygenated Blood which intensifies the metabolic processes reducing toxins, inflammation and releasing a rush of hormones in to the blood stream. NATURAL HEALING – Cryostimulation involves the activation of the body’s natural defences and that is why it is totally safe. The Iimited time exposure to the extreme low temperatures does not affect the core temperature of the body. PAIN-RELIEF - Cryostimuation has a natural analgesic effect on the body, therefore the feeling of Pain is significantly Reduced post treatment. The Lower levels of Pain encourage natural movement, increases the strength and functionality of joints increasing the metabolic processes. TIME SAVING – Unlike more traditional ‘cooling’ treatments such as the use of Ice packs or Ice baths, where the patient is resting for long periods of time, cryostimulation reduces the treatment time to a matter of minutes. Cryostimulation vastly reduces injury recovery times so that athletes can resume rehabilitation and training earlier and lower their medication intake. Cryotherapy is a Tried and Tested remedy for Managing Pain, swelling. Cryotherapy is the “I” component of R.I.C.E. (Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation). This is the treatment recommended for the home care of many injuries, particularly ones caused by sports. It is used by a number of Elite athletes, including professional Footballers, Olympic Athletes, UFC fighters, Boxers, Bodybuilders as well as many of the Top Sports clubs across England and Europe. Cryotherapy has a massive reputation as one of the most effective recovery a rehabilitation. Pm me if you would like a chat a little more. Chris.
