To my local moms... Which Douglas County children's dentist would you recommend? And are there any that we should stay away from?
Ashleigh B. replied:
We use Douglasville Dental Associates on Hwy 5 they are good.
Ashleigh B. replied:
Dr White isn't a factory she also calls and checks on my kids. Meredith hated the dentist until we found dr white now Meredith loves going to the dentist. SHE IS AWESOME!!!
Vicki T. replied:
Chelsea Williams Howard Dr Bahrami on Thornton Rd Lithia Springs 770 944 9755. I LOVE that office. I have a dental office fear and from day 1 they have always made me feel ok. If interested I could get you a discount referral for your 1 st cleaning
Vicki T. replied:
If anyone is interested I can find out what the exact referral discount is for Dr Bahrami. She's a family dentist but only I see her, my daughter goes to Great Expressions
Kersten T. replied:
We go to Kids Kare at Nanston Dental (did they change their name to Great Expressions?) Tyler's dental insurance doesn't hardly cover ANYTHING, so they changed some things with billing and the dr told them to only charge for part of it. I can't remember her name but she is really sweet and Tyler does great for her. Except for the I first visit, though, they do ask that the parents stay in the waiting room, which some parents don't like, but doesn't seem to bother my kids
Kersten T. replied:
Chelsea, we go to West GA Family Dentistry near downtown D'ville. They are good with getting you in quick and working with payments. One of my biggest beefs with dentists these days is ones that do unnecessary drilling for profit. I went to Access Dental on Bankhead in Lithia Springs and they are DRILL HAPPY. DO NOT GO THERE! West GA Family Dentistry is NOT like that, they only do what is necessary
Vicki T. replied:
Yup Nanston Dental is the same Great Expressions
Andrea B. replied:
We all go to Dr Jim Williams on Hospital Drive. He is the only dentist there with years of experience and he KNOWS who you are when you come in. He actually called to check on Philip after he had to have a mini root canal done. I've been thru the game of large children's specialist and got inconsistent mediocre care for the kids. I pay out of pocket to go here. Get the same hygentist too.
Amy D. replied:
Oooooo we love Dr Redwine up here on Thornton! She is wonderful!
Andrea B. replied:
Omg Samantha! Stephen had to have fillings with Dr. Williams and he did fine. I was really worried about Phillip though because he is my child that I have to hold down for immunizations and he faints st the site of blood. He did fine though...I was soooo glad.
Can I just tell you how crazy Faith's little grey tooth is making me! I have to have a second opinion. Any good pediatric dentist recommendations besides Dr. West whom...
Nicki J. replied:
Dr. Faith Bates she is at Pediatric Dentistry of Vinnigs. They are off of South Cobb Drive 678-305-1090. We LOVE her!!
Cindy F. replied:
Dr. Valerie. R & R Dental Specialists. Right across from Chapel Hill Middle on Chapel Hill Rd.770-949--2400 She's WONDERFUL!!!! Chloe broke her front two top permanent teeth off two years ago. They were awesome. Call me.
Patsy N. replied:
Dr. Prosser in Austell is awesome!
Lara L. replied:
Christy, Jackson had an injury when he was around 4 & and we thought we were going to have 3 of his top front teeth extracted. Ended up saving them, but they 'bruised' terribly...turned almost black. Over time, they lightened and was barely noticeable. I did drive me crazy at first, but then, I just stopped noticing. I would say the discoloration lasted about 8 months.
Kim C. replied:
This happened to clay when he was about 2. It did abscess and we had to have it pulled. (He had fallen on the hardwood floors and broke it. It did not take a cap well. ). All this to say his permanent tooth has since come in and all us well. He was just a little snaggletooth for awhile. We go to dr Valerie Reese at r&r dental.
Clint P. replied:
Dr. Turner in North Paulding area at Cedar Crest. We left Dr. West a long time ago.
Looking for recommendations for a pediatric dentist in the D'ville area. The girls are about due for their 6 month check ups.

June K. replied:

Julie G. replied:
Dental Services For Children. Dr. White. THE BEST. Blake was terrified of the dentist until her. She has a very special way about her and puts both kids at ease. I cannot rave about her enough. She's on Stewart Pkwy. In front of Century at Arbor Place apartments, in Douglasville. Kinda behind the Kroger on HWY. 5

My grands go to Dr. Turner and all of them love him but he is in Paulding off 92
