Carl is correct... Medicare has changed greatly since the passing of the new healthcare laws. Doctors are very leary of using a wrong ICD-9 code. Have you checked with Physio-Therapy Associates or some other PT group... You may be able to arrange treatments for cash that would be much, much cheaper. Many groups will go this route because it is such a hassle to deal with insurance. Hope this helps

I'm referring to a code for insurance purposes. I got all the therapy at the ortho institute. They just. Coded the charges differently. My husband received both PT and Voc Reb from the same home health care therapist associated with Shands. The Voc Rehab Agency was never involved. You should be able to get more sessions with a different code if your insurance covers it. Ours did. Sorry for the confusion.
