Any good mechanics you would recommend? I'm thinking of getting my oil gasket leak fixed at Midas but I have a feeling they overcharge.

After living here 18 years and getting ripped off left and right, I found Helping Hands Auto. They buy cars at auction to repair for families in need AND they do mechanical repairs for a really fair price. Doug won't charge you for things you don't need, won't recommend stuff that you don't need done, etc. He's just an all-around good guy. Everyone I've sent to him has had only good things to say.

I trust Jack and Sons on Russell ad Rainbow. They can be pricey though.

T&M Automotive on Oquendo. They are busy a lot but have always been really fair and honest with me on any work I do with them. I would HIGHLY recommend never doing any series work at a place like Midas, they will not only overcharge you but will likely do a poor job.

Thank you all for the suggestions.

Honest Lee in Boulder City is by far the best I’ve found. I have sent several friends and family members to him and all have been pleased with the service and pricing. My last repair was actually $200 LESS than the original quote which was already below the amount my husband and I expected. We live in Henderson - but it is worth the short drive/tow.
Anyone knows of a mechanic who will come to your house and fix a small problem on your car ? Or does anyone know how to fix a broken screw to the break caliber
Mechanic recommendation for an out of towner Hey all - wasn’t sure if this was better in the Vegas or lasvegas sub, but..
Just on a roadtrip and here for a couple...

They recently did my brakes and have a super good rating on google. When I went in, there were two other people thanking them profusely for being honest and not charging out the ass for simple repairs. I told them I wanted my brakes checked and a pre-trip inspection because I wanted to do a 1000 mile trip... the next day. They took a quick look and (as I suspected) my brakes were wrecked. They even showed me how dangerously degraded my brake pads were so I wouldnt leave without the repairs. They couldn't do them that day, but two mechanics came in on a saturday to fix my brakes so I could get to my family on time. The owner also drove me home once I dropped my car off so I wouldnt have to get an uber.
What kind of shop shows their customers exactly what's wrong with their car? An honest one. I wholly recommend them.
