The intriguing restaurants these days are all in exotic places like South America, Mexico. Australia etc. So I would say Central in Lima, Boraga in Santiago, Biko in Mexico City, Attica outside of Melbourne and if you want European restaurants in the mix, Faviken and Daniel Berlin. If you need a US restaurant, Blaine Wetzel at Willows Inn

+1 for Thea. Wild Thyme in Melbourne Street is a decent cafe which are organic and also sell some meat products, and of course there's Zenhouse down the side street next to the austral. I haven't been there recently but I remember that they were really good. Also a vegetarian cafe next door to it, but I have never been there myself. And of course if you're looking for vegan desserts, there's always Eggless Cafe down Goodwood Road.
AnonymousCowboy replied:
I'm fond of Vegetarian Delight, on Port Road.

A friend of mine opened Eggless a while back on goodwood road just near the Capri theatre. It is only a dessert/coffee cafe though. http://www.eggless.com.au/

Vegetarian Garden in the Renaissance Arcade (near David Jones in Rundle Mall) is a traditional, cheap Asian place. Very yummy! Two Bit Villains is upstairs in Adelaide Arcade. They're a 50's American style diner. The Mac Factory on Hutt St does vege breakfasts on the weekends until 3 pm. Decedent and yummy! The Annex Cafe in Glenelg (behind Coles) and the House of Donkey on Sturt St are also good.

Little Bangkok. For Thai. Red Dragon. That small hidden restaurant by Union Metro. I absolutely love their duck in plum sauce. And the fried rice is amazing. Han Cheng Guan for Korean at the other side of the bridge by Union Metro. Nomnom in Barsha is okay I guess. For Filipino dishes, this is not in Dubai but Abu Dhabi and they have the most amazing pinoy dishes I have tasted. The Filipino Kitchen, Ortego's Deli. Umami for that cheap but good Japanese. They're at the food court in MoE.

Ban Khun Mae in MOE Tong Thai in the JW are both excellent for Thai. Still looking for a good Chinese place..

guys any good/affordable sushi resto? trying to look for one
DXBtoDOH replied:
The best Thai was Ban Khun Mae at Mall of Emirates (4.7 rating on Zomato!) but it looks like they closed:( That stuff was sheer fantastic and very good prices. Even had a special menu of North / Isan Thai food. I badly miss it. Little Bangkok and Smiling BKK are all right but can't compare to BKM (or couldn't as I must start using past tense). I keep looking for a good Thai in this town but keep getting disappointed. Another quite good Asian option that won't break the bank is Noodle Bowl in Satwa. Has a bunch of Malaysian along with the Chinese noodles and dumplings. For Chinese, Homeys and Star Lake in JLT are pretty authentic judging from the tables of actual Chinese dining in there.

I'm not a very adventurous eater when it comes to Asian food so I stick to mostly pan-asian restaurants. Top of my list is Miu Shanghai in Mall of the Emirates. Interesting, eclectic design and unique atmosphere overlooking Ski Dubai. They accept Entertainer vouchers as well. [Asia/Asia](http://www.asia-asia.com/asian-restaurant/) is great for duck pancakes and buy-one-get-one drinks after work on weekdays. For delivery I like Royal Orchid in Dubai Marina walk - they are a little on the pricey side - but they have a great selection and the quality of the food never disappoints. I'd also recommend when in Abu Dhabi their sibling restaurant Soy Express in Etihad Plaza. They offer more or less the same delivery menu at a slightly reduced price. Finally, I have to mention Sumo Sushi in Media City. I frequently order from them for lunch and their teriyaki chicken bento box is one of my favorite go-to meals in Dubai!

Think i just found the article in Ajarn.com thanks! There are three parts. We will be better prepared this time, we froze our ass off in Tokyo, but will bring lots of warm clothes to Seoul.

As stated above, Itaewon is kinda Western Town in Seoul.

Pj F. replied:
It really depends on what you are into. Gangnam is considered to be the wealthy district with lots of decent restraunts, if you are into theme park Lotte World is decent. During the winter the outside sections will be cut off, but there's still a decent sized indoor amusement park with a roller coaster, ice skating, and tourist shopping.... If you are making shopping one of the points of going to Korea then I would look at Dongdaemun or Miriore shopping mall. There are a few decent shopping districts in Seoul... There's also a bunch of subway markets with prices that are cheap for Koreans, but honestly I think you can find the same stuff for a third of the cost here in Thailand.... If you are into looking at Universities and such, Ewha University campus is beautiful and has some really interesting archaetecture... Korea University looks more like some of the old state schools in the USA with gothic archaetecture.... AT that time of year there will also be a lot of public ice rinks outdoors. I know there's one that pops up at City hall for the winter season. Also, having lived in Korea for 2 years, if you're looking for cheap food, don't miss fried chicken at a Korean chicken place like Nene Chicken or Kyochon - it's fuckin' delivious. I haven't had anything like it outside of Korea.
