I need to find a solicitor myself. I need one to sign some legal documents for starting a business so I'm still looking but I did find out that the Citizens Information center (beside Tesco Express) do a free legal information night. Which is tonight actually. It's by appointment so you'd better give them a ring. Hope this helps. http://centres.citizensinformation.ie/centre.php?cic=Bray+CIC

You can apply for legal aid through the Legal Aid Board. It's means tested and you can be waiting a long time for it. However it's worth checking and you can apply online www.legalaid.ie

Any recommendations for a decent family law solicitor in Cork? A friend of mine is starting a divorce, but is unhappy with the professionalism of her current solicitor...

Complain to the law society. No recommendations unfortunately.

I just randomly picked Comyn Kelleher and Tobin out of a Google search there a few years ago and they were very good. The guy I was dealing with was named David Taylor, nice manner about him and very easy to deal with. My case was straight forward enough and although I was initially quoted one price, they only billed me about half of that, they didn't have to do that and I appreciated the gesture because with all that was going on at the time I was almost skint lol. They used to be on the South Mall but I think they moved over across from the College of Comm, or next to the old Multi Channel building.

What a horrible situation for your friend to find themselves in. One piece of advice regarding choosing a Solicitor is to check the Law Society of Ireland's register and note who their PI Insurers are- decent underwriters have strict criteria and only accept those with optimum experience and standards so it can tell you a lot. The less attractive firms inevitably end up with unrated carriers for a variety of reasons... This firm would be my recommendation; https://www.lawsociety.ie/Solicitors/Practising/PII/Firm-PII-Search/?filters=t_tab2!q_BDM+Boylan#tab2 Take care

Hmm... you might wanna read up on [the new law](http://www.justice.ie/en/JELR/Pages/PR15000386) I guess? This lists the options if it's gone to District Court at present.

With a judgment, a summons and a attachment order ... and he is still refusing, can't you go to the Guards?.
DrOrgasm replied:
Debt collectors work by buying the debt off you for whatever cent in the euro and then going after the person who owed you the money for whatever they can get that's more than what they paid you. So regardless of how dodgy the collector once the debt is in their hands you can wash your hands of it. Just sayin.
unsureguy2015 replied:
Can you not go to the Dublin City Sheriff now? They will seize assets and only release them, when your debt is paid. They will only charge a fee. Where as debt collector, might offer you 30 cent on the €1
CaisLaochach replied:
Have you ever used a solicitor before? Your normal solicitor could probably do this very quickly. I'd imagine most would do this on a no foal no fee basis, but any high street solicitor should be able to do this easily.

For WRITTEN answer on Wednesday, 6 th June, 2012. Ref No: 27133/12 REPLY The Minister for Agriculture, Food and the Marine: (Simon Coveney) In the Animal Health & Welfare Bill the term “Animal” is defined as “a member of the kingdom animalae other than a human being”. This definition includes all cats. Therefore the protection of Section 12 which prohibits cruelty to animals will apply to feral cats.
Feral I. replied:
The above quote from the new welfare bill was batted around at the National Animal Conference in Dublin last May and no one seemed sure whether it covered feral cats or not. Why they can't put in a paragraph covering feral cats and their unique situation is beyond me. And yes, they've been asked countless times.
