I jacked up my foot pretty bad hiking in Australia. I think it will need some professional attention to heal. Does anyone know a good podiatrist in the Columbus area? ...

Dr Philbin for sure!
Charlie R. replied:
Greg, sorry to hear. I "liked" the surgeons mentioned above that I would go to. Dr. Philbin's whole group is good. Don is talking about Dr. Jeff Gittins, not his brother Mark. I definitely suggest an orthopedic foot and ankle surgeon over most podiatrists, one that has done a fellowship on the foot and ankle, and also bases his or her practice almost entirely on the foot and ankle. Good luck.
Chris K. replied:
Dr Philbin is good. He is ortho foot/ankle surgeon. Would rec ortho foot/ankle vs podiatrist
Michael W. replied:
Avoid a podiatrist go to Dr. Peter Edwards at Ortho One on Sawmill Rd. He treats athletes; my own MD says Edwards is an excellent foot doc.
Josh M. replied:
Dr Robert Martin near Reynoldsburg. He's operated on me at least two times and Brian Martyn has seen him for stuff as well.
Chuck L. replied:
Josh Martyn doesnt know what he is talking about.
Laura D. replied:
Someone else said it: Max sports on Olentangy. Orthopedics for athletes. They've patched me up several times. My husband sees Dr Bright, I see Dr Shaw. Their PT group is also awesome.
Craig B. replied:
Dr Thomas Leehttp://www.orthofootankle.com/about/physicians
Catherine K. replied:
Max Sports on Olentangy. Lombardo or Bright if you can. But they are all top notch there. can't honestly get more top notch. Consult to USOC, IOC, numerous pro and big college programs. And they often refer to Orthopedic Foot and Ankle who are top notch foot and ankle folks.
Julie L. replied:
Dr. Philben at Ortho on Polaris. He works with the Blue Jackets, and got my broken 5 th metatarsal squared away in 4 months.
Donald I. replied:
Dr. Gittens at Ortho does their hands and feet. I haven't seen him(no hand or foot surgery), but I have seen others in the practice
Krista S. replied:
Dr. Leonard R. Janis. He solved my knee issues even though he is a podiatrist. He studied my old running shoes and running log etc. and didn't just say "stop running"... But that was years ago. I think he was out of Hilliard and associated with Grant Sports Med...? Good luck!
Matt D. replied:
Dr. Stockfish (I think). Best on the whole eastern half of US. Office in Westerville. Patients travel from all over US to see him.

Kate Bell Meadows, they were diagnosed by Dr Tinkle in Chicago. Melanie Carlson, We are 2.5 - 3 hours from Cincy but will travel if we can schedule as much as possible for one trip. We have 3 diagnosed EDS and one borderline. My husband and I will need to be checked soon too.
John M. replied:
Children Medical Center in Cincinnati is one of the noted treatment centers for EDS
Sherry S. replied:
Linn, we worked with Dr Joseph for a long while. He is a good pain doctor, but he made a remark about a general population that I found quite offensive and I removed my children from his care. This had nothing to do with his skills as a DR only with his skills as a human being. We have a wonderful integrative pediatric specialist that we are working with, but now that we have a firm diagnosis I am trying to get my ducks in a row. I will contact Dr Tinkle and ask him about Cincy. Thank you.
OK...DAILY foot pain is getting to me. I am looking for a good podiatrist in the Columbus area to get a second opinion (other than the "live with it, I do" that I got...

I know one that is Marion that we love! His name is Bill Tabbert. Or Dr. Bill as we call him. He has helped Chris a couple of times and Kennedy with orthotics for foot pain. He is super straight forward and won't try to sell ya a bunch of crap. He will get you exactly what you need.
Bill B. replied:
Dr Bertolo. Urban Podiatry on High in our neighborhood. Joe and Ruggerios see him and speak very highly of his care. I've met him socially and can vouch only for his friendliness (and good looks-ha!).
Deb H. replied:
