Tina W. replied:
Alan at Allen horse dentist is fantastic, $70 trust, also Gerrard Tracy in CHCH is the best ever but he only travels around chch.
Michelle B. replied:
Gerad Tracey is good but I would back Louisa Andrew to the hilt. she does the whole mouth not just the molars that are easy to reach. ask an equine dentist if they do the incisors - majority of them don't
Rebecca M. replied:

Ok who would be the most influential LOCAL 'equestrian' person and also another influential person who is maybe sympathetic to horses but maybe is strong in advocacy for...
Sarah H. replied:
Ummm i have influence in DCC fair enough... i just dont think i have been around long enough in the equestrian community to have gained enough respect for people to follow and support in our own equestrian community and i have no links at all with the cycle community.... I am looking at needing key influencers for the following target audiences 1) Members of Horse Riders of Dunedin Unite 2) Other social network groups with a focus on equestrian activities 3)The extended recreational equestrian community within Dunedin City 4)Equestrian service providers within Dunedin City 5)Other interest groups campaigning for safer use of the road by non motorised transport e.g. pedestrians, dog walkers, cyclists 6)Dunedin City Council
Vania L. replied:
Oliver Goldsmith - from Hare Hill treks also involved with Otago Hunting, theres a number involved with the indoor arena
Sarah H. replied:
I guess what i am looking at and my best example would be the Equestrian Service Providers - These are the businesses that service and contribute to the cities economy...So they will be influential in the message to demonstrate how important the equestrian community is in its revenue to the city.... So one of our main income generating businesses that uses the roads (me thinking the racing fraternity) to stand up with us would be 'influential' Our cyclists have a strong voice already, so if we could get them onside that would help our cause so an already 'influential' and 'listended to' cyclist that is sympatheic to horses would be awesome

Ann Beattie might be worth approaching. She is very involved with hunting, pony club, show jumping, eventing. She is VERY good at getting her point accross & defnately not backwards in coming forwards !
