Sub sandwich question not likely to have an answer. Years ago my wife and I drove through Niagara and passed Buffalo on our way to NYC.
I’m a huge fan of...

What is a "party store"? I've never heard that term before.
t3hbigv replied:
For anyone else dropping in this thread and is wondering wtf a party store is, as someone who left Buffalo and moved to Michigan and was equally confused, it is not a place that sells parties, sadly. It's just a goofy name for a liquor store.
kylathekoala replied:
Literally hundreds of stores like this in the area.

A liquor store that makes fresh subs... Never heard of such a place
Budelius replied:
Did this store have a gas station, or look like it used to have a gas station? If it did, maybe it was a Convenient Store (actual name of the shop)? Logo would be red with yellow lettering?
dacmerch replied:
Theres a good sub spot on Bailey near Lovejoy... $6 includes a sub, chips and can of pop... Lots of places are doing this but the Bailey store is descent quality... Also there's a liquor store right next door

Golden corner by canisius?
vesperholly replied:
Can you give any other vague details (really, I’m not being a dick haha)? Like was it close to a highway? Red tablecloths? Etc. There are lots of random convenience stores that make subs.
ApolloKekz replied:
Not enough details. Remember anything inside the place or around the area?

Depending on the year you traveled, and if you had a phone with Google installed, you could go back and check your GPS activity during your trip to see the location. Sounds like Maybeck's on Niagara Falls Blvd. in Tonawanda, NY. It's right off the 290.
_The_Bright_Side_ replied:
My guess would be good guys on the corner of Jersey and West.
NiceIsis replied:
Maybecks on Niagara falls Blvd?
buffalo442 replied:
I'd also guess Mayback's.
CarafeTwerk replied:
Ya probably not where you stopped but Golden Corner on East Delavan has heady subs though it’s a shitty convenient store.

Also I'm wondering if maybe you were in Niagara Falls and not Buffalo? Like maybe Violas or David's subs near Supermarket Liquor in Niagara Falls boulevard and Military road.
Dar_Winning replied:
The closest thing I can think of would be Premier Gourmet. It's half liquor store, half gourmet grocery with a small deli counter. ...or maybe just the Wegmans in Buffalo that has a liquor store attached?

Elmwood Market? We Never Close?

I know it's probably a dumb question, but did you pay cash or credit? If credit look at your account

I appreciate everyone’s help. It’s like a needle in a haystack. But you all give me some good suggestions I will be trying tomorrow when I pass through again.
jaysmellslikepoo replied:
You don't remember anything specific like what the neighboring buildings looked like? The street? The building itself? Idk how anyone can't remember specific details to a place that stood out to them.
rebelskumz replied:
Everyone: thank you all so much for your help. This was over 10 years ago so I doubt I will ever find it. But we did stop by Maybecks and it was fantastic and close to what I had so many years ago.
I love it when people on facebook make question/statements to bait someone in to envy.
