Dr sushil Mody is wonderful. My son has food allergies and he is excellent in that he takes the time to talk to you am doesn't leave until all your questions are answered. As far as "vaccine friendly" I'm not sure what you mean by that. Likes the idea of vaccines maybe? Dr Mody allows you to decide what is best for your child. I vaccinate my kid but I know others that go to him that don't.

I second Dr. Mody! We tried two other pediatricians in the area and were really not happy. So glad we switched to Dr. Mody.
Audrey T. replied:
And Dr. Lynch is a jerk. Clueless about breastfeeding, kept pushing me to supplement with formula, and made me wait 45 minutes with my 2 day old daughter, in a waiting room full of sick children.
Audrey T. replied:
Dr. Mody is with Monroe Cty family health.

Dr. Mody at Pocono Pediatrics is my Pedi as well as my sister's who has a son with severe food allergies. He is great & doesn't pressure about vaccines. Neither of us have done any vaccines & I have a 15 m old & she has a 4 & 3 yr old.

I don't see that doc on the website. Is this the right practice? http://poconopediatrics.com/our-team/providers

Dr. Lynch is NOT supportive of breastfeeding and pushes vaccines. He almost cost me my nursing relationship with my son.
I hope this is okay to ask on here, but wanted to ask what doctors/pediatricians you might recommend in this area? I have heard Dr. Uchenna Ufoundu is experienced with...

Super hard to find one!! I have been bouncing around from pedi to pedi for 2 years! I have come to find comfort in the fact that we have one of the greatest DS clinics out in Trexlertown and I save all of the "big questions" for them! I have tried the Geisinger DS clinic and it was terrible! Chops was surprisingly disappointing too. We use specialists for 6 month preventative follow ups and just use the pediatrician for simple issues like colds etc. We use PHA in Dickson City but I would even recommend them for more than a cold, vaccines and weight checks .

Thanks for the info Jenny Ward-Calkins! That's great to know about the DS clinic in trexlertown. I'm looking for a pediatrician. Our main specialists are at CHOP and St. lukes (Lehigh valley).
Jenny W. replied:
Same here! We use some Geisinger too! I'm hoping someone might see your post and have a great recommendation for a pedi! A few have recommended a Dr. Theresa A. Lafranco, MD out in Milford. I would have gave her a try but her office informed me that thy adhere to strict a vaccine policy . I do vaccinate however, I just don't follow the traditional schedule with my lo.
Jenny W. replied:
And yes! Dr Rice at the Eastern PA Down syndrome clinic is fantastic!

Brianna is seen by Dr. Andrea Argeson from Pocono Pediatrics. She has a lot of experience also with children with DS and Autism. Her phone is (570)476-6700

I am not sure Courney, but if you are more into the natural approaches, there is Dr. Brettney Ramsour of Alignlife Chiropractic & Natural Health Center. I cannot tell you how he is, but he has offered to come to our meetings to talk to parents with children with DS. unfortunately, there were events that forced him to cancel his talk to our group for the month he was schedule. This is his website www.alignlife.com/eaststroudsburg
