You should check out the Skindustry tattoo expo at the Sands in March. You can look thru local artist books to see styles and talk to them or make appts.

Catamount Studio on 2nd Street in Easton for ink. Freaking amazing artist, no typical tat shop experience there, just a private shop with no employees (IE unpaid apprentices). Top notch ink work, and David Sutherland is an amazing artist. I've had several intricate pieces and fixes from other shops work done there. To give an idea of artistic skill, I gave him a basic concept of the DreamWorks logo with an old man instead of child with a large fish (decided on a koi for the symbolism) and he threw together a few amazing sketches. I picked one (hard decision), and he free-handed it on my back with marker. Still need 2 more color sessions but you can see the artistic skill and creative designing. He's freaking awesome. No piercings though, can't make a recommendation for that.
