David Hoffmeister .gov stinks unless your income is so small but just above medicaid. Dont forget you still have to look at deductibles and out of pocket max just in case worst case scenario. Then there's dental............ Nothing good about obamacare and remember Hillary got the ball rolling back with Bill was in office with Hillarycare.

Obama Care, that will take care of everything.

You can try these people. They shop the market and private insurance plans to find an affordable rate: https://honeyinsured.com/. They found some plans that were decent when I was trying to help some friends shop recently. Also no high pressure tactics.
Emilie C. replied:
How is $70/mo expensive? That's what my husband was paying before Obama care. And it wasn't really the cheapest plan either. Mine was $110/mo before. Now mine is over $400 a month... So affordable *rollseyes*
Daniel M. replied:
I'm no expert but be sure to see based on your income what the max you can pay is. I believe that if you are in a certain income bracket you will qualify for a subsidy and it may not be as bad as you think. I own a company of nearly 50 employees and we provide insurance. Prior to Obama care we had seen 30% increases and we were always shopping and moving to different carriers for the best price possible. Our policy goes from July to July and back at our renewal we were able to lock in only 5% increase. I hope you find something you can afford. Being without insurance is risky!
Debi D. replied:
Actually $2200 a month, we don't qualify for any subsidies, we are being punished for achieving. We own our own home, pay taxes, We are raising a grandchild, but we make, "too much", for any subsidies. With the deductible, we would have to pay the first $34,000 !!!, Who can afford this!, This is the Affordable Care Act! I guess we need to quit working, sell our home, maybe then we can get help
David H. replied:
go to www.healthcare.gov......... Plug in your expected earnings and go from there. Subsidies up to 100 k per individual.

Anyone have recommendations on the best homeowners insurance company in this area ??
Helga M. replied:
Are you a AAA member? I have used AAA Midatlantic for auto insurance and home owners. They've always been great.
Katie F. replied:
I've has State Farm (Tom Buchner on William Penn Highway) for 22 years, we've had a few incidents over the years and they've always come through for us quickly.
Wow! never thought I'd say this about an insurance company but Mike Pizzoferrato at Nationwide on Wood Ave is awesome!
