Omg remember Chi-Chi's? My favorite as kid. I went in for an early lunch and saw my big sister drinking in the bar. What is the best mexican restaurant nowadays?
Nancy S. replied:
My favorite is in Stillwater MN, right over the border called Nocho Mama's, since Ponchos there isn't any that stick out as being better then the others anymore. Cancoon is good, not like Poncho's was though. Casa Mexicana in Chippewa is good.
Kimberly H. replied:
I really like Tacos Juanita as well, but my favorite place for margarita's is Manny's, especially for 1/2 price happy hour! You can get a pitcher for $12!

Need help: I'm looking for a good indoor place to rent for a couple of upcoming showers. It can be a restaurant but it doesn't have to be.

Holiday Inn Express in Hallie near Walmart has a meeting room. I believe seating is for 32 (comfortably). We had a small bridal shower there a couple of years ago. Very inexpensive, bring in your own food. They have buffet tables and there's a sink and small fridge. They provide linens.

If you're looking to do your own food the enclosed pavilions that they use for warming houses at the parks can be rented and are really cheap. I think about $30-$50. Also most of them have bathrooms. Otherwise town halls are usually cheap too. Or Quality Inn has a room off of O'Leary's, not sure what that is to rent... Double Days on London has a room too.
Looking for a nice restaurant to go for dinner for bachelor/bachelorette party...any suggestions???
Meg E. replied:
Stella Blues - fun atmosphere, unique food, LOTS of cocktail options, and it's within close proximity to other downtown establishments. The Red Room is next to Stella's - related businesses - same cocktail menu, condensed food menu. Johnnys Italian Steakhouse -- GREAT food and drinks, upscale with a higher price tag.

Are there any restaurants open Thanksgiving night that anyone knows of? I'm working so I'm looking for some take out. It would be wonderful for the employees if none...
Tom K. replied:
The Downtown Budget Theatre Is Open after 3:30 pm. The food menu is available for take-out. Sorry, turkey is not an option. Made to order pizza and the best popcorn with real WI butter is available.
Lesa G. replied:
Altoona Family Restaurant is open until 4, I believe. You can get to go orders from there.
