Lori Campion was an absolute rock star for me and Joseph! Smart. Quick. Reliable. Fun. She lives in the Meadowbrook neighborhood and showed us houses from Ballard into wayyy north Bothell -- and we bought in Lake Forest Park. We got the first house we bid on, and she negotiated some challenging issues to get it all finalized -- even helped us get the price lowered in the process! Plus, she's all certified for the green/sustainable. Call her! Call her! http://loricampion.com/

Realistically? Take any job you can get that puts you in/around this. Be a sponge. Research everything you don’t understand, ask good questions. After you’ve got a bit of a handle on it, take someone to coffee/lunch to learn. Join professional associations.

I did not see it mentioned yet, but the actual knowledge base is typically offered in "construction management". So there are whole 4 yr and Masters degrees dedicated to that stuff. That doesn't mean you need all that but, there are textbooks (on amazon) and community college courses to get you grounded (if you like to learn that way). Besides that...make friends, talk and be a sponge around CM guys and developers. People will give a whole Udemy course if you buy them a coffee and a danish!
