Question - I run a youth band associated with our senior band. As most bands finance is tight so i am exploring what sort or funding/grants it may be possible to get?...
Judith H. replied:
Easyfundraising.org.uk. You get money by doing your normal online shopping. Absolutely above board and haven't found a catch yet.
Kathleen H. replied:
Try to find your nearest Community Foundation trust or your local council they may have some community funds available .www.The GivingMachine.co.uk is another way to generate funds get people to sign up to it and when they shop online it generates funds.
Iain M. replied:
Contact BBE - I've worked with Rachel before and she has lots of great knowledge and insight. ACE Grants for the Arts (http://www.artscouncil.org.uk/funding/grants-arts/) is a good source of funding but applications need to be for something innovative. I wrote a piece for BBW a while back - the basic message was "we have funding to award but we just don't see enough applications that meet the criteria". (I'll send you a copy)

Am booked out but if Lee Newby is available then you won’t go wrong if you book him as he’s not a cheap DJ but if he’s inboxed you than am sure he will do you a deal as a one off coz of band and being local to his home. He’s a top Dj very friendly and very reliable.
