Rubler & Halpern especially if the kid is particularly anxious. I think everyone does free consults. If so, go here first even if you ultimately choose a different ortho because they explain all the tools, etc to the child. (Of course I learned this the hard way after 2 previous consults - one that practically treated my kid like a horse, so trying to spare you that.) Rubler & Halpern are very calm. Maxine Clark in Dorsey Search would be my second choice. Extremely gentle and kind but also recommended extractions whereas R&H had a more wait and see approach.

We also use Baltimore Orthodontics in Ellicott City (Rt 40 behind the diner). Dr. Kyser is great and 3 of us have used him. Get a few prices and treatment plans before you decide...you'd be surprised by the differences!
