I'm looking for a new veterinarian, around the Amherst, Lorain, Elyria areas, does anyone have any suggestions?

Pet Med Clinic, Lorain Animal Clinic, Doud's on rte. 58 is pricey but quality care, Fox Veterinary staff doesn't coordinate care with each other [killed a neighbor's dog after too many techs gave her anesthetic], I think most vets are great. I avoid Amherst Animal Hospital after being overcharged and being treated badly but some people must like it.

I used Doud's out here in Oberlin but have heard good things about the Murray Ridge Animal Clinic and bad things about Elyria Animal Hospital.

I used Avon Lake Animal Clinic until they left our dog with udders when she was spayed there. She went at 6 months, on the thin side and very active. Came out with big hunks of saggy skin hanging down. Maybe overstretched her skin while spaying. Never was the same afterwards. They said her skin would go back but never did. She got the nickname "Moo" because of it. They diagnosed my sister's dog with parvo but he actually had kennel cough from the pound. A former neighbor's dog was also treated for parvo but actually was sick from moldy dog food. This was figured out when the new bag was tested at the owners expense. After the dog went home and got sicker.. Of course that was $1000 later.
