Hi Sara. I work for a chiro who isn't your typical crack your back send you on your way guy... He does soft tissue rehabilitation, using western techniques with and eastern influence- Chinese medicine inspired. We work with an incredible man Dr Tracy at integrated sports and spine. I've never met Dr's who truly try to figure it out until now! And I said I'd never work for a chiropractor after watching one screw up a good friends back... I work with Dr Eric St Pierre at ESP sports medicine. He comes highly recommended and has a history of working with Olympic athletes. I'm sure you've gotten plenty of good recommendations. Dr Gerlach is wonderful too!! We often refer patients back and forth! A lot of our patients come to us at the end when they've tried everything else and they don't want surgery or they've had surgery and the PT didn't help after...Sometimes surgery is the option but often patients get better and we see them for maintenance to continue helping them. He performed a microdiscetomy on me 2 1/2 years ago and was the most knowledgeable, professional, and competent surgeon I saw (out of 3 surgeons and several other doctors).
