My home daycare in Hartford is too far away (& I have a waiting list anyway), but I would highly recommend searching on Care.com. We have a profile there and they really do good background checks and you can read reviews from parents. Talking to other parents whose kids they've watched is probably your best assurance.

When the kid(s) are ready for pre-school, the price of poker raises quite a lot! I am still quite hopeful that the 'Pre-K for PA' program will take hold and Iroquois School District can offer the program. Many 'Pre-K' and preschool programs have value, but the local school should be able to steer them toward what fits curriculum and standards.

We use Goddard School and have been very happy! Ms Lisa is the infant teacher my son had. She is wonderful!

I use an in-home daycare in Country Meadows. Vaso Palmer is her name 303.828.4705. She charges $40/day, feeds the kids so you don't have to pack anything, and you can drop off and pick up anytime from 7 am-5:30 pm. My kids loved her!!! Tell her I sent you.:-)
