Actively seeking a new GOOD family doctor for myself, kids, ex and great friend! I emphasize GOOD!!
Pam R. replied:
We go to Dr. McAllister too .... great guy !!
S P. replied:
My doctor(s) are Dr. Gary Pasqualicchio & Dr. Lisa English at Harborview Internal Medicine......They are both TERRIFIC!! I love them both! But, I do agree about Dr. Ray McAllister.... Ray is great, I had him 10 years ago, when he started his practice in the Summit Plaza next to Gordon's Meat Market......then he moved across from Glenwood School on lower Peach, when I had to change my HMO to another provider......But, Dr. Pasqualicchio & Dr. English are located at 300 State Street....1 st Floor! Any of the names, I mentioned including McAliister are GREAT! (FAMILY DOCTORS)--I would not recommend any Jageman or Kang....Dr. Pasqualicchio supports the Arts! and his Mom and my Grandmother Bev were friends long ago...so does McAllister...support the Arts......I only had Jageman, because of the late Ruth Jageman....
Nancy P. replied:
I adore Dr. Mastellar. A very compassionate Dr. He really cares about his patients!!
S P. replied:
I agree, about Ray....but, I love my doctor(s)....Pasqualicchio & English....it's a hard call....who's better in my book, all three are on the top of my list...but NO to Kang or Frank Pregler on Pine Ave (Dr. Pregler and Dr. Kang) were my grandmother's doctors---no good at all....and of course no to John Jageman....Jageman.....way to many tests, prescriptions, and placing you in and out of Hamot.....but, one thing to say is that John Jageman is one of the very few doctors who still care for you, when you are hospital bond and come and oversee your care/case while you are in Hamot.....most can't go anymore except a hand full of Erie doctors....you received a Hospitalalist now....upon entering.....
Scott K. replied:
Dr. Warren Beaver/ West Ridge Family Practice on 38 th and Colonial Ave. is an excellent doctor.

Lynda R. replied:
Dr Linda Leitzinger! I graduated with her sister, tell u more about her later today!
Nadine C. replied:
I agree with Linda Graffius' recommendations above. I have very strong opinions about our local docs. We recently switched to Dr. Shaffer at Colonial Family practice and were transferred to Dr. Clemente (no relation) when Dr. Shaffer left. We are very happy there. Dr. Cogley is now in that office. He was medical director at SV, and you can't go wrong with him. Dr. Beaver is excellent there, too, but I don't believe he's taking new patients. Basically, you can't go wrong with that practice. Plus, it's easy to schedule, low wait time, etc. The other doctor I recently recommended to friends (and they love her) happens to be Dr. Clemente's wife, Dr. Cecilia Urquico in Yorktown Center (459-6777). I worked with both her and her husband briefly as residents at SV, and they are wonderful human beings as well as excellent practitioners. I don't know too much about Hamot docs, but I'm sure there are some good ones, too. Good luck!
Randy W. replied:
Donna I have similar insurance and after crunching numbers decided Izbecki brothers made sense. Single person is $65 month. Get in day you call, in house pharmacy, blood work, etc all at wholesale prices. Friendly staff. Each doc will max out at 600 patients while most other family docs take on 2000 to 2500.
Rusty D. replied:
Dr. Masters has been our family Dr for almost 20 years. Sometimes the wait is long but, he takes his time with all his patients.
Linda G. replied:
As a Nurse I am very fussy about who I go to. Does the hospital affiliation matter for your insurance? I go to Dr Mastellar (St.V's) He's on East 38 th but worth the trip. I also like Dr Cogley(St.V's) at 38 th and Colonial. Also Dr. MacIntosh at Asbury Fam Practice. I guess all these are St.V's Dr's.
David P. replied:
Dr. Mike Spellacy at primary care in Fairview...in my opinion after 20 years...THE BEST!!!!
Shelly D. replied:
We love all the doctors at Westminter Family Practice. They are at 38 th and Colonial. Never have to wait long for an appointment and they usually run pretty much on time. We go to Dr. Clemete, but they are all very good!
Norman S. replied:
Dr. Peterson with Westlake Family Medicine was our doctor there he was very good.
Antoine J. replied:
I have a great PC, but don't know for how long; The UPMC/Highmark pissing contest is more of a concern than ACA for me. Too bad - he's been my Doc for 25 years - great guy
Jim M. replied:
Brad Fox
Denise O. replied:
Dr. Peterson is beyond phenonmenal. He saved my mother's life by looking at a previous hospital's reports and immediately sending her to a cardiologist who recognized that she did not have acid reflex but three arteries in her heart that were 98% clogged. He is connected with Leacom and is one of their instructors also. Doesn't push drugs and is filled with a rare commodity....common sense. Love this guy!

Dr. Thomas Masters! Sometimes the wait sucks but he's worth it! Gives you the same time and consideration he gives others! He's done right by me and has kept my dad alive! Thorough, smart, and engaged in each and every patient. He's the only one I trust and I have some shit going on! Lol hope this helped!
Catherine K. replied:
I used to go to Dr. Lesseski. He is friends with both David and Brian and i believe is their family doc. Great guy!
