Psychiatrist Is there any good affordable psychiatrists for young adults someone can recommend?

Have you tried Options or Laurel Hill?
stopsignsally replied:
Some counseling offices have a nurse practitioner in office that can prescribe certain medications.

I use Dr. Wendy Park. She only prescribes medication and doesn't do counseling, but if that's what you need, I highly recommend her.

This took me 2 years to find a doctor actually able to take a new patient. I wish you luck. I just put myself on every waiting list I could find.

I'm not sure if you have to be on the UO health plan, but the UO psych center is giving me treatment at $10/session. It'll be a student worker and they film you as part of a review process for the student, but so far it's working for me.

Do you have oregon health plan? If so id reccomend emergence for counseling. Not a psychiatrist though. There is lane county mental health. Or you could call 211 for other resources.

I have not

Give Lane County Mental Health a look. They offer therapy and psych appointments as well as a variety of support and educational groups.

If you're on OHP, there's two options, the Center for Family Development, which is a couple buildings on high street, they have like 30 people under one roof, so its a bit tricky to get in. You have to show up at like 8:30, and they take like 2-3 people a day for intake, then you get interviewed and they pair you with someone who they think fits. They have prescribers, and thats where I go. The other option is Options, which is literally around the corner fron Center for Family Development. I believe they are sliding scale, I haven't been.
