OK...need some running shoes, but want to get the right size/type for my feet. Any suggestions for where I should look in the Evansville area?

Ultimate Fit has been around longer than Swift. They were Gilles feet first before and the people that work there are very nice. Jim is the guy to ask for he will get you the best pair of shoes for your needs.

Yup. I know where I work, a lot of our athletic shoes have a standard fit, and we recommend getting insoles that are more customized (Dr. Scholls has that foot mapping device - I've only heard good things about it). Running shoes tend to run a bit more narrow and have the main support in the front. If you have wider feet, then definitely do look into the NB's because they have the 2-4E sizes widely available. The other thing I sometimes tell people is to go up a whole size from the dress shoe if they have wide feet - it tends to add a little width and really doesn't make a lot of difference with the toe length. But yes, do shop around and Curtis might have a point, sometimes the smaller stores have the personal touch (we get a lot of customers at our store because we're the only unit in our market with consultative salespersons).

Swift Athletics on Weinbach. They take time with you and find the right shoe. Haha that rhymes! Maybe they should use that as their tag line!

I had the same experience at Condom Carnival last month. Bought some different colors and styles, got home and just didn't feel the same. When I took them out of the package, I guess someone else tried them on so I returned them
